We are moving to Brooklyn on July 1 and are looking for something fun to do for 4th of July. Any good places to watch fireworks? We are moving to park slope but we can go anywhere.

Honestly, I always avoided the fireworks watching spots., they were too crowded for my taste, especially with LOs. However, one year we stumbled across the Madison Square Park Shake Shack while the fireworks were going off and there was no one in line! It was amazing!

You can basically watch them anywhere along the east river (that's where they are this year). TimeOut NY probably has a guide of spots to watch. I'm also usually an avoider of stuff like this but we've watched them just from the promenade/running path on the ues before.
