We're having a small cookout and doing a fun slider bar and hot dogs! No fireworks bc LO is too young so probably watch on TV after she goes to bed. And hope and pray the fireworks nearby (the university nearby has a HUGE one) isn't too loud and the noise machine drowns it out.

Hopefully it's not too warm that night so I can close her windows and hopefully the white noise and fan will drown most of it out!

Do you have access to sparklers where you are? Those are always fun! (At least for me, who grew up where fireworks were illegal to use yourself)

I'm not doing anything I'm away from my family/friends, and everyone here has their own plans. I even tried hinting that I wanted an invitation, but that didn't work

I think a berry flag cake is perfect, it's what we used to do when living abroad! We'd do a cookout with burgers and baked beans (that i would make from scratch) and then we'd decorate a flag cake and eat that. My FIL would play marching band music, lol.

No plans here either DH will be working so it will be just me and LO and he goes to bed at 7:30, I'll be one mad mama if the fireworks wake him up!

We are going to the Fourth of July city of the USA (we do every year, it is in our home state) where DH's cousin is having a BBQ. We will walk the square, watch the parade, and then head to hte BBQ. Head home so LO can go to bed & we can watch fireworks from our deck!

I second trying to score some sparklers - and maybe try and get a fun movie for the kids. I'm trying to think of something that talks about America, maybe 'An American Tail' or that Charlie Brown where they go through some moments of American history?

We're just going to a cookout at my parents' house. Our town does fireworks and fun events and it's actually walking distance from our house. It'll be great when LO is older but at 4.5 months, she's too little for fireworks!

As long as the weather lets us..... we're going to a parade in the morning and then downtown later for dinner and fireworks. I'm not a big firework person so the traditions for this holiday just don't excite me.
