New clothes, makeup, shoes and nice dinner with DH.

I've never had that much to spend on myself ever, but if I did I would buy: clothes, new boots since my current ones don't have bottoms and snow gets in, books...

I'm going to play along like I won the lotto.
A massage, Jimmy Choos, new wardrobe, a real leather moto jacket, kitchen aid ice cream and pasta attachments, a night at a hotel plus really nice dinner with DH,

With $500 I would buy some spring work clothes, a couple pairs of flats, and a new Kate Spade tote.

I would probably buy something for the house I'd like a new dishwasher so maybe is put it towards that.

Blinds for our family room, living room, dining room, and office. I hate our vertical blinds. I can't wait to get rid of them. I'd also buy light fixtures. Since DH lost his job, our cosmetic fixes on our house are on hold.

Hmmm a few new clothes, stuff for house, new shoes, get my hair cut, makeup, skin care stuff

Nice handbag or jewelry. Or else, a little shopping spree for new clothes/shoes.

Probably spend half on new clothes/shoes/acessories and a mani-pedi, and the other half a nice meal w/ DH.

Three things:
New Longchamp bag (my diaper bag insert arrived and I'm on the fence if I want to get a new tote bag too)
Nice robe in a pretty pattern w/ coordinated PJs
New house shoes since my go to flip flops are falling apart

@travellingbee: I was thinking night nurse, similarly! LO was up 6-midnight basically and has only slept every other hour since then.... zzzzzzzzz....

I wish! Probably one of the following:
- airfare to go visit my family in Texas
- pay for a writing class
- postpartum wardrobe and makeover (haircut, new makeup)
- put it towards some kind of home upgrade (new appliance, new bed, spruce up kitchen)

My gift to myself for xmas was a new Canon T5 SLR + 50mm f1.8 lens. Best gift ever.

My work occasionally gives us gift card vouchers like this in recognition of our work, last time I got one I splurged and got a pair of Frye knee high boots and I love them madly still over a year later.

@travellingbee: Find the money and do it. I felt so silly paying for a sleep consultant but it was life changing for me. Me and no sleep = no bueno.
For myself (since I've already paid for the sleep consultant ), I'd pick a spa day and new clothes/makeup.

New clothes - I'm down to my pp weight and never getting pregnant again, so I need new duds. If there was anything leftover, I'd book a massage and a pedicure!

I'd put it towards a vacation! Or just buy something for the house

@Bao: I have never spent this much on myself either but DH suggested it after our tax return. I really have been thinking about what i would want so I am very interested to see all these ideas! I hope you get new boots soon!
@2PeasinaPod: I am in the same boat--just made my pre baby weight goal so I am tempted by clothes but wondering about getting something more lasting. Congrats on your weight loss!

I'm a total pragmatist, so I would probably replace the dishwasher or microwave in our kitchen suite, depending on cost/sales.
If I couldn't do a practical thing, I'd probably get some kind of jewelry to symbolize our family, like an initial or birthstone necklace.

A gorgeous canvas painting from etsy that I've been wanting for about two years to put over my bed. Its over $400 and I can't justify buying it except that I just want it so badly.

I got a gift card from work for Christmas in that amount and ended up dividing it between buying some new clothes and spending the remainder on a girls getaway I'm doing with friends in 2 weeks to FL.

I would spend it on some clothes and a nice dinner for hubby and I. Besides that I would save it... I'm a minimalist and hate "things", so I'd save it for when I really need something!
