@MrsTiz: Yay for AF's arrival and getting things underway again!! Best of luck to you!!

@MrsTiz: If you need any charting help I've been at it for quite awhile. We've been trying just as long as you and I've thought that a few times...wow we could have a baby now had it worked the first time. Looking forward to good news for you soon!

Reviving this thread as reaching the 6 month mark next week (I know there is already a gold thread).
Don't feel like I can join the infertility threads as not going through anything like some of the ladies on there but since being diagnosed with high prolactin I don't feel like this is ordinary TTC anymore.
Anyone else 6 month + ??

@Snowdrop: Best wishes. The TTC 6+month Gold thread was really helpful for me as I kept going through POAS thread month after month.

Me - I'm part of the gold club but I'll check in here too. We are on cycle 13 of trying.

@babycanuck: yey, nice to have you but hope you won't stick round for too long .
Off to the doctors tomorrow and really nervous, hope it's going to be the start of treatment and not more tests!

@snowdrop, thanks for the revival! I don't have gold. Next month will be cycle nine. Part of me wants to take a break, but the other part doesn't want to waste anymore time!

We're on cycle 10 in 13 months now. Had an early chemical back in cycle 7, I think? Have a doctors appointment at the end of February.

@LindsayInNY: is that to talk about next steps, or a general check up?
bananas / 9229 posts
@Crystal: Next steps. My annual was in September so I brought it up then briefly.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@LindsayInNY: I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
My annual is in January, I'm thinking of brining it up too. My doctor doesn't seem to take it seriously until it's been a year, which is a few more months away, but I guess if won't hurt to try.
pear / 1846 posts
@Crystal: my doc has done tests early because i told her about weird light periods. I think if you have symptoms that something might be wrong they will see you much sooner.
@lindsayinny: so glad you are seeing someone. Much better to know and get a plan worked oit in mu opinion!
ive got my appointment in less than an hour now. Hope it's some good news this close to christmas...

@LalaYes: I get you about a break but then there's the chance you'll get past O and regret it for the next two weeks once it's too late, I could see myself doing that!
Anyway just seen my doctor and it more tests for me...I know I should be glad I'm going somewhere but then the frustrated part of me just wants to scream 'but tests don't get you pregnant'!
bananas / 9229 posts
@Crystal: I brought it up in September at the 9 month mark, just to know when and where to go from here. I didn't push any testing or anything at that time though because I wasn't really ready for that (I'm still not really...)

@Crystal: @LindsayInNY: I am only at 4 months.. but I brought up to my doctor a super short cycle and he ordered blood tests. I'm not sure if my age (35) is a contributing factor but he had no issues moving ahead before the 6 month or 1 year time frame. I'm planning on going to a specialist at 6 months if we aren't pregnant. Sadly, my clock is ticking..
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@LalaYes: I don't think taking a break and casually BDing is a bad idea at all. Sometimes relaxing and taking a step back is a great thing to do.

@Snowdrop: how did the doctor appointment go today?
I'm 7 months TTC. Waiting for AF now after getting a negative at 10 dpo. Seriously everyone around me is announcing pregnancies. Ugh.

@crystal my midwife also sticks very tightly to the one year or 3 miscarrage mark. I've had two losses, last one in April so they won't do anythingtil April.
I guess that's ok though, I feel like my body is working the way it should, I think that I am stressed about it and have stress about other things and that's what's hindering us. I don't want to pay for a lot testing and not get anything conclusive or helpful.
Before my first miscarrage we tried for about 9 months. Its been almost two years since we decided we were ready to start trying for a baby.

@littlek I think you are right, it would do me good to take a month off of charting. I think DH would appreciate it too.

Cycle 6, Month 11 here! I finally have a plan, to start Clomid on my next cycle. So now I'm just trying to be patient through this cycle (probably another 40 days long) so I can start. I would love to take a break from charting, but I actually have to know when I ovulate so I can call my doc to set up an ultrasound for Day 4/5 of my next cycle, to check for cysts.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@LalaYes: my doctor suggested no charting, OPK, etc. just have sex every other day starting cd10. He thinks the stress of TTC was too much for me.
pear / 1846 posts
@MrsMcD: more testing: repeat bloods, ultra sound and semen analysis fr DH... Bit down that they wouldn't just start treatment for what they found really but hey off to a Christmas eve party with two pg women and a third possible. Yey!!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Snowdrop: is this your first set of tests? I just went in for cd3 blood work.
pear / 1846 posts
@littlek: I had day 21 which showed low progesterone then day 3 which showed high prolactin and there was a note asking me to come in and speak to the doctor about it. I went because I get really light periods and I think I might have a borderline LP as well. Did they mention anything about yours or have you not heard back yet? I know you said something about amh test? I didn't get that one.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Snowdrop: when will you get to discuss the results with the doctor?
I agree, it seems like everyone is pregnant right now. I can't tell if I am noticing it more because I want it so badly, or because there actually is a baby boom.
@LalaYes: I really need to call my insurance to see what they cover so we know what we need to save. That ish is expensive.
How many things are you tracing right now?
@LindsayInNY: hugs, friend. It's so hard, but better to know to have a plan of attack. Still sucks, though, no matter how you look at it.
pear / 1846 posts
@Crystal: unfortunately that was my discussion with the doc regarding my result....that i need more tests! Im pretty sure there is a baby boom amongst my friends but we are of that age really so it's to be expected. Doesn't make it easier though. I love seeing bfps here but hate them in real life!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Snowdrop: my day 3 they just checked my FSH. That test came back normal. I'm going back day 21 to confirm I'm ovulating. It's good they are testing but I'm ready to know the answer. I'm not a patient person.

@LittleLashesToes: nice to have you here. Im a lot younger at 26 but trying for my first too. I do get worried with how terrible i was at taking the pill. My packet used to look like brail at yhe end of the month... surely i should have been one of those OMG i got pg on the pill stories!

@Snowdrop: been thinking of you! Hope you made it through the holidays unscathed by your inlaws
pear / 1846 posts
@SweetiePie: haha thanks sweetie pie, there was a brand new baby so lots of questions especially since I was having a cuddle, apparently I'm a natural, getting broody and DH better watch out... Hmm last time I checked being able to hold a baby doesn't reflect parenting skills or imply broodiness! It was ok though because DH seemed to get the brunt of the questions and the babies mamma kept fending the rest off saying I must want to finish my masters first (I have a feeling she sensed my unease)!
Few, glad it's all over though
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Snowdrop: I was playing with my nieces, like I always do, and I was getting the same sort of comments. Ugh.
The good news is we all made it through the holidays!

Cycle: 6. Never seen a positive. Diagnosed with high prolactin LPD
Trying new: going to try to reduce prolactin myself while waiting for more tests (not doing anything would drive me crazy) so trying b6 and vitex.
None baby related thing to look forward to: we had such a busy 2013, wedding/extension. Im actually glad to have nothing planned this year!
