What is your 7 month old schedule? How many naps and do you follow sleep cues or go by clock?

LO is just over 7 mos. We follow the 2,3,4 schedule. Sometimes I put him down earlier if he is showing signs like rubbing eyes and fussing. His naps are long enough to make this schedule work. My oldest had to take 3 naps at this age because his naps were short.

615-645- wakeup
7-730 - first bottle
830-9 - put down for first nap (we go by her cues but she is usually tired somewhere between 1 hr 45 min and 2.5 hrs after waking). Length of first nap is somewhere between 1-2.5 hrs.
11:30am - second bottle
12-2 - put down for second nap. This varies widely based on when she woke up from her first nap and when she gets tired again. This nap again can be anywhere from 1-2.5 hours, although we don't let her sleep past 3 or 315 so it is shorter if she went down later.
3:30pm - third bottle
430-530 - put down for 3rd nap. Again, varies based on when she woke up from her last nap and when she gets tired again.
6-630 - wakes up from last nap (we wake her at 630 if she is still sleeping)
7:30 - start bedtime routine
8-8:15- put down for bed. Usually asleep by 815-830.

Some days it doesn't quite feel like a schedule because we go by a combination of clock and sleep cues. Everyday ends up being a little different but it seems to work best for DS.
An average day is something like this:
Wake between 6:15 and 7:15
He naps after about 2 hours of awake time, naps are usually 45min sometime longer. He is still doing 3 naps a day. So usually naps around 9am, 12pm, and 3pm.
He has breastmilk every three hours and we are still figuring out how to work in solids, we do dinner around 6pm most days.
Bedtime is consistently between 7:15 and 7:30.

Mostly we go by when he wakes up and how well he naps. A normal day for us looks like:
5:30-6:30 wake up & nurse.
8:00-8:30 nurse and first nap, will last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours
11:00-11:30 nurse
12:00 lunch
12:30 - 1:00 second nap, usually wakes in the middle of it to nurse and goes back to sleep until 2 to 3pm
5:00 nurse a little, followed by dinner around 5:30 or 6:00
6:30-7:00 bedtime, sometimes a bath
If he doesn't nap well then he will sometimes nap for a half hour around 4 or 4:30 and go to bed closer to 7:30 or 8:00

My LO is 8 months today (whoa!) and not the greatest sleeper. However, I don't try to keep her on any sort of schedule because her nap lengths vary so much. I just try to go by her cues, which are sometimes hard to read and timing. After she wakes up, I usually put her for her first nap around 2 hours after. Then after that nap, 2.5-3 hours. And then same for the 3rd nap, 2.5-3 hours. After her third nap, I aim to have her in bed anywhere from 2-2.5 hrs, which can vary from 645-745, depending on her! My LO also takes very short naps, sometimes with a long one here and there, so don't feel bad! I really just think it's impossible to have a schedule at this point since nap length varies so much. I believe once baby is on 2 solid naps a day, it will be easier to have a reliable schedule! At least I hope. Also naps might get a bit longer with just 2 naps. I read many babies are on 3 naps until 9 months or so, so don't worry!

We're also still on a 3 nap schedule, and he feeds 4 times a day, with solids at breakfast and lunch times. About a month ago, he did 2 naps for about 5 days straight and I thought he was transitioning but we're back to 3 most days. I feel like we'll be flipping back and forth between 2 and 3 naps for at least a few more months.
I follow both the clock and LO's cues. Wake times are 2-2.5 hours. Naps vary greatly in length; for example yesterday he slept for 1hr, 40 min for the first nap and about 35 min for the next one. And today's first nap was 50 min. So, no consistency there! But on average, LO get about 2.5 hours of nap sleep. Anything more than that is bonus in my book. He sleeps 11-11.5 hours overnight.

@Jass: Hang in there! It does get better. DS1 only took 30 minute naps until he was about 8 months. They did get a little longer after that but he didn't really take long naps until he went down to 1 nap. He's 2 and takes about a 2 hour nap. Of course, I have to take him for a car ride so that he'll nap. See, it's never perfect!
DS2 is 7 months old. He kinda has a loose routine.
Wakes up between 6-7 (though today it was 5:45). Drinks a bottle about an hour after he wakes up and has oatmeal about 30 minutes after that. He'll have his 1st nap about 3 hours after he wakes up. After that he basically has a bottle every 3 hours and purées around noon and 5:30. He'll nap at least once more, maybe twice. Bedtime is between 7-8, usually.
Can you tell I just kind of go with the flow?
I used to stress myself out a lot. Now I just roll with it!

@Mamasig: thanks for words of encouragement. I need to go with flow but finding it kind of hard.

Totally understand. I say go with the flow, but it was hard for me in the beginning. I kept wondering why isn't he sleeping?! Actually, he's 2 and I still wonder that. But anyway, it got easier for me as he got older because I could physically see his growth and how he was hitting his milestones just fine.

@Mamasig: yeah I just keep obsessing about how much she sleeps..thanks for advice
