I am wanting to make a dessert for a family get together this weekend but I can't decide which one to make so I thought maybe I could combine the two. Do you think I could make an apple streusel cream cheese coffee cake combining these two recipes? Would it be any good or should I just stick with one or the other? Thanks!

Looking at the recipes, I think it would end up too mushy. But the recipe that @MaisyMay: posted looks good!

I'd probably try it, but I like a baking challenge now and then. I would first look for a recipe like the red velvet cake/cheese cake combos to see how they do that and then go for it. (I might have a back up just in case!)

@MrsHotDog: I agree with @Mrs.Someone: if you try and combine the two recipes it will probably be too runny. @MaisyMay: suggestion looks like it would be a better alternative

But I don't know how coffee cake will do. I've never made coffee cake before.

Thanks ladies! Y'all are right, I shouldn't combine them. I don't belong in the kitchen anyways so I don't know why I was being so adventurous earlier.

@MrsHotDog: Don't say that you don't belong in the kitchen! I'd probably be tempted to try them together too, but I've made some awful messes.
