We have Clek Foonfs in both vehicles for our 2.5 yr old. We recently hired a nanny who will be picking her up from school 3 days a week and also bringing her to random activities on occasion during the 2 days a week that she's at home with the nanny and DD2. This is a long-term childcare situation, so in theory, as DD2 gets older, they will be able to get out and do even more and will be in the nanny's car more.
I am a car seat nut, not in the sense that I comb or post on all of the car seat safety sites, but in the sense that it makes me feel happy to know that DD1 is always in what I consider to be the safest seat on the market. I did a lot of research and felt good about the purchases, and I always feel confident that she is in the best *hands* should either of us ever be in an accident. I also intend to purchase DD2 the same seat for both vehicles once she is out of her Maxi Cosi.
I know most people put a less expensive carseat in vehicles that their LO is not riding in as frequently, but I'm not sure if I can get behind that way of thinking, because my brain reverts back to "They could still be in an accident no matter how much less they are in that car." So that makes me think that it's just as important to have as good of a car seat in the nanny's car. And by the same token, I know there's an argument that all car seats pass the same inspection an safety standards, but as a mom, if my LO got into an accident in another car seat and had *any* injuries (God forbid), I would always question whether or not she would have fared better on impact had I spent $100 more for the steel infrastructure of the Clek.
So my question is - since I have not researched seats in quite a while - is the Clek still the gold standard on the market? Is it still *worth* the extra money? Is there another seat I don't know about that is comparable?
Also, there was no Fllo when we bought our Foonfs, and I see that is a less expensive Clek option that I'm considering. Does anyone know anything about the Fllo vs the Foonf?
I appreciate anyone weighing in!
Oh and fwiw the nanny's car is a 2014 Toyota Highlander so space should be fine.
Also I found the Foonf on Amazon and Albeebaby for $350 if anyone else is in the market:

And the fllo is $299 on Albee baby:

I'm really curious if there's any reason to not go with the Fllo since it is the cheaper one...
