@mrsvdv: fingers crossed for a sticky !!!
@californiadreams: I would sign up for fertility friend, or another fertility / period tracking app so you can figure out when to POAS. Are your cycles pretty regular? Since you're not sure when you will O, I'd wait until you think AF is due to test, only so you're not disappointed by a potentially just-too-early-to-test . It's definitely a personal choice.
@raspberries: as for me, STILL in limbo! on a FRER with FMU this morning, but no AF. It's driving me crazy! I have had cramping and twinges on and off for over a week (AF was due last Weds), some nausea, insomnia, and now sore boobs. Who knows?!
We're having issues getting my husband's SA scheduled, which is also frustrating. I want to get that done so that when AF shows (because I can't believe I'm pregnant at this point, since my FRER was negative almost a week after my missed period) we can get on with the next IF steps. My doctor won't see me again until the SA results are in.

@mrsjyw: @ballerinabee: @MissLace: @Mrs.J: @simplyfelicity: @raspberries: thank you! I don't know what will happen this week but it's really nice to have some support! I didn't tell DH about this morning yet, I want to be sure whether it's positive or negative. Fx!!!

Has anyone had mid cycle bleeding that wasn't a true period? I'm so confused right now...I thought I was gearing up to O last week (had ewcm etc), but never got temp confirmation, and promptly started spotting at CD17. Had spotting turned light bleeding the next two days, and then it just stopped. Today, I've got watery CM and a soft cervix, and I swear I saw EWCM.
HELP. No idea what's going on here! Do we have another chance?!

@Mrs. J: mid-cycle bleeding happened to me while on BC but I think it can also happen without the pill. Did your temp rise? Fertile CM is always a good sign so I'd say go for it!!!

@californiadreams: Welcome to TTC! Before long, you will probably be a walking encyclopedia for TTC. I recommend using the Clear Blue Easy Digital OPKS (not the advanced.) I got frustrated by the regular ones because sometimes it would almost be positive and I would second guess myself. You can get 20 for 35 dollars at amazon which is about a 4 month supply.
Oh and BD every day or every other day very similar in terms of success.
If you need to use lube (sorry if this is too personal!) Preseed or conceive + are good options as most traditional lubes can slow down sperm and prevent conception.
I usually wait until AF is due to POAS because I would rather not know about a very early CP. Also, it gives you a definitive answer.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

This has been the craziest cycle. I basically wrote it off as a fail with no ovulation, but then I got a solid smiley on the CBDA. It came on CD 30, but if I did ovulate I don't think it was until CD 32. The whole thing is all wonky.

@Jone0603: hope it's a late I cycle for you! I had two solid smileys on cba this month too and think I o'ed the second time (backed by wondfo monitor and regular cb opk) I don't temp so I can't say for sure but That was my experience this month!

@Jone0603: Hope you just O'd late. That sure is a crazy cycle. Fingers crossed anyways.

AF was due to arrive yesterday, but nothing... so I wanted to take a hpt with fmu but took an opk out of habit... when I realized it I put it aside and took the hpt. Bfn. Then I looked at the opk and saw the brightest red line I've every seen.
I have no clue what's going on with my body. The first cycles PP were regular. Then one 15 and one 14 day cycle followed by a “regular” and now this... help, please??
@QBbride: you give me hope! Thanks!!

@mrsjyw @jennyg thanks we can use all the luck we can get.
My temp went up again today, so I think I did O!!! My husband was gone hunting over the weekend, but we got O-5,O-1, O, O+1, so the timing is decent.
@raspberries: I will now try and POAS on the 21st. Can you move me when u get a chance?

I'm now either 15dpo at the earliest, or 17dpo at the latest and STILL BFN's but no AF. My temp dropped yesterday bit shot up .5 degree this morning. I've officially used all my IC tests and FRERs but I have 2 CBD ones left. Will you guys look at my chart and let me know what you think is going on? My thermometer died where the temps stop and I had to wait for the new one to arrive so that's why there's that gap.

@lil owl: Could an OPK show pregnancy early than a HPT? What kind of HPT did you use? I would have thought a bright positive on an OPK would be enough to give you a BFP on a pregnancy test too. Was the HPT taken from the same urine as the OPK was? Sorry for 21 questions, definitely an intriguing situation. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
As for me, I'm in the TWW I'm pretty sure (not charting temps or using OPKs) and I'm symptom spotting like crazy. I'm seeing all these similarities from my early signs when I was pregnant with LO and I shouldn't be! Going to be a loooong wait!

This may be TMI but I don't think I produce enough CM, which I believe is our main troubles ttc. The month we got pregnant but miscarried we used pressed (which y husband hates cuz it makes him feel numb). We never used it since. So I'm starting to believe that the preseed is what helped us get pregnant my question is.. I have read that preseed ends in a lot of miscarriages because it helps the less healthy sperm get to the egg, has anyone gotten pregnant on preseed and went on to have a healthy baby?
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@Ashleyf21: We're still waiting for our BFP, but the first month we used it was the month of our CP. Also, drinking green tea and water works wonders I hear for producing more CM naturally! I've also heard of people who used Mucinex. I bought it to try, but then chickened out when I heard a user say it dried her up even more!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@MissLace: so frustrating! how long are you cycles typically? I had a random 36 day cycle during our NTNP months and it drove me crazy! I tend to have erratic cycles month to month though. FX for a bfp soon!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@lil owl: were they wondfo tests? the day that I got my BFP with DS, I had a negative HPT in the morning... maybe a shadow of a line AFTER the testing window. Worked all day, then tested in the evening with 2 wondfo opks that were BLAZING positive, and sucked it up and used the one digital hpt test I had and it came out positive! Even with the CP a few months back, the wondfo HPTs were never super strong or earlier than other tests for me. EEEK GOOD LUCK!!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Ashleyf21: I did. We use precede the month I got pregnant with my DS.
apricot / 345 posts
@getjazzy: I seriously have no idea. I just took the cheep test stripes (that's how I mixed up opk and hpt). And yes. I took fmu booth times. I tested again. Still bfn.
Maybe it's really O and I'm Oing amazingly late and this is a really long cycle? I'm so confused
kiwi / 641 posts
So I'm gearing up for my next cycle. I am going to use OPKs this month just to confirm timing. I never really used OPKs when I got pregnant with DD (I had/used some wondfos that a friend gave me but not sure I actually used them correctly since I did not know about HB back then) so my question is what time of day is best for OPKs--FMU or afternoon? Or does it not really matter?

@MissLace: Ahhh, hope something happens soon!
@mrsvdv: Hoping you have a good update today!
@Jone0603: Moved you to 11/21 - and that timing looks pretty darn good. Good luck!
@abmamma: I think FMU is best to get the clearest reading - but some people test twice a day (once with FMU, once in afternoon) to make sure they catch their surge.

@Jone0603:
!!
@MissLace: and @lil owl: so frustrating! I'm keeping my fx for a bfp for both of you!
I'm now 8 days late and still no sign of AF. I didn't test this morning because I'm tired of seeing stark white . My husband's SA got scheduled (finally!!) for Tues 11/18, so I'm trying to focus on waiting for the results from that. I just wish I had any clue what's going on with my body!!!

@mrsjyw: they've always been 31 days on the dot. I'm currently on CD36...
grape / 92 posts
@mrsjyw ya I drink green tea every morning (even tho it goes against the "no caffeine" while ttc) and I always drink tons and tons of water. I tried robitusum this past cycle and noticed a difference but obviously we didn't get pregnant.
I'm thinking of starting acupuncture too since my friend who tried for 2 1/2 years got pregnant the first month she tried it. She said it helped her with releasing stress.
grape / 92 posts
@travellingbee really? That's good news! I've read a lot of people have miscarriages but there were also a ton that didn't and swear by preseed! Thanks for the response
persimmon / 1179 posts
@Ashleyf21: I've never had much CM either, like I have to (TMI) do an internal check right at the cervix all the time and even then, barely anything to note. I have one child and didn't have issues conceiving. I've always wondered if there is more emphasis put on quantity of CM than necessary, or maybe I just got lucky. In any case, I definitely don't think preseed would cause or promote more MC than your chances normally are. I think because in past generations MCs were either not detected (by virtue of no charting or early POASing) or just weren't talked about if they did happen that it has kind of jaded society on how often they actually happen to healthy people and otherwise uneventful conceptions. I don't think that having a MC necessarily means there is a problem per say, as it can be part of normal fertility, too.
@lil owl: If it were me I would POAS again tomorrow because I still feel like it could be that the preg strip just didn't detect it yet. Although I did have a super long, weird cycle recently where I think my body geared up to O but didn't, and then I actually Oed much later than normal which made AF late. Wasted so many pee sticks that cycle lol.
persimmon / 1179 posts
@raspberries: Can you move my POAS date to the 22nd on the next update? I'm pretty sure I Oed yesterday.
pear / 1955 posts
@getjazzy: All set - I was still able to edit my previous update, so you're good to go!
pear / 1788 posts
@MissLace: how heavy was the spotting? It almost looks like that was a period and you ovulated again on cd 34/35? I dunno... If you reach cd45 call your doc. I had a crazy an ovulatory cycle in June that was 39 day. Shit happens!
apricot / 431 posts
@Mrs. Microscope: @raspberries: Sorry, no update yet! My temp dropped a little this morning, still above cover line but then I got too nervous/scared to test.. Ladies, the suspense is killing me but HOPEFULLY I'll have good news to share tomorrow! Thanks for all the support so far, it really helps me knowing I'm not alone!

@Mrs. Microscope: it was brown, never even a drop of red, just one liner a day (normally its heavy, red and goes through a tampon and a pad in a few hours). So bizarre.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Ashleyf21: I'm doing acupuncture this cycle and when I start my IUI cycle. The acupuncturist is actually in my fertility clinic's office. It's important to go to someone who specifically does fertility acupuncture.

I would also mention that my husband started taking this vitamin blend after 6 months with no luck and we got our BFP the next cycle. I have no way of knowing if a month on the pills was that effective or if it was just luck, but thought I would put it out there! http://www.gnc.com/Daily-Wellness-Company-FertilityBlend-for-Men/product.jsp?productId=2134277

I will say my POAS date is... next Tuesday? 11/18. I had my hCG trigger shot last Tuesday so guessing I O'ed either last Wed or Thurs. So today I am 6-7 dpo. Next Tuesday I would be about 13 DPO. I have NEVER had a luteal phase that long, so if I don't get AF by then, I'm probably pg.
I had my progesterone tested today and it was 7.86. They said that was low and next cycle will be Clomid and progesterone suppositories.

@Mrs. J: man I take it a least 2-3 times a week for allergies, I want that luck!'
