    @dc yoga bee: That was me the first month I did them. I said screw it after that, and just used digitals.

    @Snowdrop: o h my gosh, if your DOG got Ku that would just be too much. Thanks for making me chuckle.

    @dc yoga bee: I have been thinking of getting that fancy pants OPK the Clear Blue Digital something or other that is like $200 but I'm kind of hesitant to bite the bullet and do it. Maybe if I don't get KU this cycle I will have that be my Christmas present! SUDDEN CLARITY!!!!

    @dc yoga bee: I also get positives on the clearblue digital in the morning. I took them twice a day during this cycle and got positives one evening (7pm), the next morning (7am), and the next evening (8pm). I did have a positive wondfo opk on my evening tests as well, so I don't think it's a clearblue defect. hope it helps at least as another data point! I'm with you on the hatred of interpreting lines.

    short update from me: I'm 9dpo with high temps (not like that means anything to me - last month I was triphasic with a BFN) and had one incidence of very light brown spotting mixed with creamy CM on 7dpo. I have had consistently long luteal phases so far (16 days or so), so hopefully it's not a sign that my LP is shortening/AF is imminent. I haven't had any other spotting since, so who knows? I'm holding off testing until Saturday...my husband is enticing me not to test early by suggesting we get steak tartare for dinner on Friday night. (Good plan on his part!)

    @Mrs.Panda: Let's buy it together!!!

    @erind425: Thanks for the insight! Im thinking I missed the surge overnight, or didnt o this month. Im looking at the monitor next month, and it may be covered by fsa!

    @erind425: sounds promising!!!

  7. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @dc yoga bee: the only thing about the monitor is that it takes a cycle to know your body. So you may not get a peak the first month you use it.

    @littlek: le sigh lol!!

    @erind425: High temps seem good, some people get implantation spotting so maybe it was a good sign? Your husband is a wise man!

    @dc yoga bee: The monitor would be covered by the FSA, I have considered it before too but I haven't quite made it to the point of pulling the trigger and buying it. How odd about you not getting a smiley, maybe try calling the company and chat with them about it? It doesn't say anything on that one about not testing twice so I would have assumed it was fine. I think if I were you I would bd one more time either today or tomorrow just in case something odd is going on and then call it good. I hear you on being over it though.

    I am at 11 dpo and my temperatures are really high, like they took another jump yesterday and today but I haven't been feeling great so I wonder if it is more related to illness than anything else because my temps were 98.7 yesterday and 98.9 today. Yesterday I used my only frer and this morning I couldn't resist and I took a dollar store test (bfn). Logic dictates though that a negative on frer wouldn't turn into a bfp on a dollar tree test over night though so it was probably pointless no matter what.

    Still feeling sick today. Thought it was because I didn't take my usual allergy meds yesterday but I took them today and still feel sick. It's like a head cold. No aches but stuffy, sometimes sneezy, blocked ears. Throat is okay for now.

    So, second day of flashing smiley today. I have one more day of flashing and then usually it says peak. My husband has had a workout this cycle... LOL

    @littlek: Not yet. AF came tomorrow during last cycle so I'm waiting. It could just be a cold. I don't want to get my hopes up.

    @dc yoga bee: I'm down! I told DH about it as my Christmas present and he said "That's not a Christmas present..." So I said... Then can I just get it? And he said sure, after we buy a lawn mower. If only the holidays weren't so expensive!

    On another note, I think I'm out this month. My temps took a nose dive yesterday and stayed down today. *Price is Right sad trombone sound*

    Hi, I'm newish around here or rather I was on here a lot over a year ago but only am just now wandering back because going through this by myself is way more stressful than I thought it would be!

    Estimated O Date: 11 DEC
    POAS/AF date: 25 DEC
    Cycle: 2nd IUI with Clomid
    Chart: nope
    Trying new this cycle: Nothing new
    What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: For my husband to get more time off of work around the holidays! Working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week at Christmas time stinks big time.

    No testers today.... so, another get to know you question...

    Are you traveling for the holidays? Plane, train or automobile...

  24. littlek

    I'm going to visit my ILs in ATL the day after Xmas. My parents are coming for the first part of Xmas.... soooo excited to have them visit!

    @littlek: Automobile, to West Virginia (from TN)! Going skiing, and my stepmother-in-law's parents have a huge cabin in Snowshoe. Dreading the drive though. All the snow and huge drop offs if you go off the road freak me out!

    @littlek: We are driving 2hrs to NH (we live in MA) to stay with my mom for x-mas eve, then to my grandmother's and my BIL's on Christmas Day. We are the only ones who live out of state so we are stuck travelling.

  27. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @bushelandapeck: how is your LO in the car? I'm dreading the 10 hour drive with LO.

  28. littlek

    @Torchwood: I hear ya! And the ice.. Driving the curvy roads in the winter freaks me out.

    @littlek: We plan all of our long drives around his naps, so he's great

  30. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @bushelandapeck: I think if we drove through the night that would work but DH won't go for it. So instead it's a looooooooooong drive.

  31. bushelandapeck

    pomelo / 5720 posts

    We haven't driven more than 2.5 hours with him though. I'm not sure how it would go if we had to do a much longer drive. I think we'd probably have to drive through the night or stop every hour. How long is your drive?

  32. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @bushelandapeck: 10 hours

    We're spending part of the time before Christmas in NH with my family and then driving to MI to be with DH's family for Christmas. I'll be my first time actually celebrating Christmas day with them. We requested Rose Bowl tickets too so might be going to CA too

    @littlek: Whoa.

  35. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

    @littlek: How do you do the drive? We have a 7+ hour drive coming up and I am not sure how to do it to (a) make it as easy as possible with LO; and (b) avoid traffic during the evening rush hour. My preference would be to leave *early* in the am so we can avoid traffic and get there as fast as possible. It won't be ideal for LO, but I think a shorter drive is better than one that hits rush hour (which would be the case if we left in the evening).

    @littlek: No big travel plans for us luckily. Just staying local, thankfully! 10 hours sounds nervewracking..good luck!

    @LindsayInNY: I have family in MI, too. Just visited this summer actually. It was the first time my DH had gone with me.

    Just got the phone call regarding my post-O blood work I had done last Friday. They said everything looked great and normal for where my progesterone levels need to be. So that's a relief. She said to continue on with my charting, OPK's, and timed BD and to give a call back in 6 months or whenever I get a BFP. I really hope it doesn't take another 6 months the thought of that honestly made me tear up.

    @Littlebit: The bright side is that things are looking good, remind me, how long have you been trying?

    We are driving from Michigan to Pennsylvania for Christmas. It will be good to see everyone but ten days is a long trip and I am usually fried by the end.

  39. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

    @Littlebit: We usually head to MI at least once a year. In the past we've gone after Christmas and for New Years. But DH put his foot down this year about actually spending Christmas Day with his family. I don't mind though. I like MI and his family! We're going to a MSU basketball one weekend and *hopefully* to the Rose Bowl too!

    As for your other comment... When I went in September for my annual, my doctor said to come back at the one year mark which is now. Literally to the day too, I think. Now that it's here, I'm nervous. I want so badly to get pregnant but I don't want to go through testing and whatnot because then it tells me somethings "wrong." =/

    I'm out...apparently the second month was not the charm this time around. Trying really hard to remember how blessed I am but honestly I really hate this process.

    I guess now at least I can have a glass of wine ha ha.

    Will have my fingers crossed for all of you.
