@Cole: Yes! I keep telling myself how lucky I am that I don't have problems ovulating or anything else. There are a lot of women who aren't as lucky. I started trying in July..so we've been trying 5/6 months now. Not too long, but definitely long enough.
@LindsayInNY: Looks like you guys will have a really good time! I love Michigan in the Winter (well all the time really, they have great weather). There's something about having snow on Christmas that I love! Today is your one year mark of trying? I'm sorry, girl. I understand not wanting to know..I got really nervous just answering the phone call thinking they were going to tell me bad news. I seriously struggle with trying to understand why it comes so easy for some people and so hard for others.
@Mrs. Tea: I'm sorry. It really doesn't matter how long it takes (well, besides 1 month) the whole process just really sucks.

@mfa_lady: Thank you! I am so relieved. I hope so too, and for you (and all the other fabulous ladies here) as well!

@Littlebit: Congrats on the good test results!
@littlek: I can't believe we have no POASers today. We need to move some of the ladies on the board up to the BFP column quick!
We are not travelling for the holidays. But I am flying up to the San Francisco bay area this week for work and am taking my man with me. Anyone have any San Mateo or Marin county dining or entertainment suggestions???

I got my smiley today, BUT my chart is ALL OVER THE PLACE. I have been temping vaginally, which I thought would make my temps more consistent. Any thoughts?

@cole: I obsessively googled implantation spotting all weekend! it was so brief and so far out from my usual AF timing that it seems like there could be a chance that's what it was. the waiting is killing me, though!
@littlebit: congratulations on the good test results!!
for the holidays, we are driving from NC to our mutual hometown in PA. the timing of Christmas in the middle of the week means we can actually go home for an entire week, so we are pretty excited!
nectarine / 2932 posts
@mrskoloa: holy moly. That chart is really all over the place! No advice here, but the positive OPK is a great sign! Have you been BDing the past few days?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Cole: Your chart looks promising! Do you have anymore tests? I would definitely test tomorrow morning.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@erind425: Is your office closed for the entire week of Christmas? What about New Years week? I don't know my office schedule yet and I'm dying!

What in the... 23 pages and it's only the 9th?! Haha. I just came back to check in and see what's going on with all the POASers.
@stratosphere: @kodybear: @MartinisandOnesies: A little late, but CONGRATS!
I'm due to test tomorrow, but I'm not really feeling it. DH and I did not do our due diligence this month, so I'm going to be surprised if I get a BFP. I think I might wait until I'm a week late before I test. Although, that would be the way it happens... work our butts off every month, and then the one month we take it easy... BOOM! I'm not really feeling any sort of crampiness either though, so who knows.

Good news for little bit!
AF officially here for me today. On the plus side, my luteal phase was 13 days and has been 10-12 for a while - suspect reducing my synthroid has helped.
pear / 1586 posts
@MrsMcD: we're officially closed on christmas eve & christmas, but I'm taking the other days that week as vacation. we also get new year's eve & new year's day as paid holidays, which is great! I work for a university so the holidays are pretty straightforward. my husband will unfortunately be working from his firm's PA office while we are home...he is a slave to the billable hour at the moment. I hope you hear about your time off soon!!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@erind425: Your DH is a lawyer? I'm one too! Billable hours could be the bain of my existence. But I luckily don't work at a firm that cares too much about them. But my firm also doesn't care too much about my holiday plans and won't announce office closure yet! Lucky for you to have such nice holiday plans.

@erind425: I'm in the same boat as your DH, trying to get my billables in before the end of the year. I'll be on vacation aka out of the office but still working from home =/

@LindsayInNY: Your correlation between being sick and pregnant is totally getting my hopes up! I get what you are saying about being afraid to go in, my doctor told me I can come in in March if we aren't ku by then and I am ok with an initial round of things like blood tests but I am worried about it going any further than that. In part it is because my dh feels pretty strongly that his limit is clomid or something similar before moving onto adoption. In theory I agree but I am afraid the financial end of it will make me push for further interventions since a fair amount would be covered by insurance as opposed to just paying for adoption.
@Mrs. Tea: & @LittleLashesToes: I am sorry to hear that you are out.
@mrskoloa: I felt like my chart was a disaster at the beginning of this cycle but FF somehow made sense of it. Are your open circles due to anything significant? If you exclude a few of those it doesn't look that bad.
@littlek: I have one dollar store test and two digitals, it is killing me not to go buy a frer right now. My dh has been under the weather for the past few days and I feel pretty off so I am sort of afraid I am getting my hopes up when in reality I am just sick. The upshot is I am queasy and have a headache and he has more of a respiratory thing.
Does anyone else notice a higher temp than normal when sick? I have taken it during the day just to make sure I am not running a low grade fever or something and it is right around normal.

@MrsMcD @LindsayInNy: yep, my DH is a lawyer, too. billables suck majorly. I feel a little spoiled over here in academia!
@Mrs. Tea @LittleLashesToes @sapphire - sorry about AF

@MrsMcD: I have billable hour goals too and I'm probably not going to make them...

Where does everyone buy their FRER's? I've been buying them on Amazon or eBay, whichever is cheapest. BUT, I recently went to Walmart for the first time in like two years and saw that they had a pack with two for $8.98...that with a $1.00 coupon on the box brought it down to $7.98, I was pretty pumped! The only problem with that is actually having to go to Walmart...which I hate. I swear, I almost have a stroke every time I walk in that place.

@MrsMcD: Oh you'll be up near my 'hood! Not sure where in Marin you'll be, but Sol Food in San Rafael is great Puerto Rican food. And Paseo in Mill Valley is Tyler Florence's steak restaurant -- I haven't been yet, but it looks amazing! Sam's in Tiburon has a great deck that's fun for brunch. Hope you have a great time!
grapefruit / 4649 posts
@Littlebit: Oh boy, I wish you hadn't told me that! I hate Walmart too, it is always a zoo and well... I just don't have anything nice to say about the place. I have been buying them at CVS, I just hoard all my coupons from them and buy them there especially if I can catch them on sale. I think I average about $4 a test which is what you paid and is what the price is running on Amazon right now if you aren't doing s&s.

@LindsayInNY: we'll be in Michigan for Christmas too, although in Ann Arbor. but we were cheering for MSU against OSU!!
and on the IF testing front . . . I totally get why it is scary. but in addition to getting more ideas/options and upping your odds, it can also be really helpful mentally to just have someone else thinking about it for you. we (at least I) spend so much time analyzing every little thing about what went wrong. this cycle it is nice to have the RE doing the thinking and I just follow along!

@bhbee: I suppose... I have two more cycles before we decided to go back to the doctor. If AF comes soon, I'll make the appointment later this week...

@NorCalWayfarer: Thank you for the suggestions! Brunch on a deck sounds wonderful. I don't yet know where we will be staying, but I always looks for a happy compromise between some place super close to the courthouse and some place fun.

@LindsayInNY: I just want to make sure...are you still taking the progesterone? And if you are, you're taking it until you see AF?
bananas / 9229 posts
@spaniellove: No, I stopped after Friday night (I took it then but haven't since). I'm suppose to take it for 12 days but by the time I confirm O, that would be one heck of a LP. So last cycle and this I've taken it for 10 days. Today's 16DPO though. Last cycle AF came on 17DPO, which was 3 days after I stopped it (if I'm counting right)?
honeydew / 7916 posts
@LindsayInNY: I think it doesn't matter how many days you take it as long as you've confirmed O and you're 100% sure you're not pregnant when you stop. Sorry, just wanted to make sure.
bananas / 9229 posts
@spaniellove: I POAS on Saturday which was 14DPO and it was negative. Even though I'm reading into my symptoms now, I don't feel optimistic or pessimistic. Depending on my temp tomorrow, I might POAS again, just to be sure. Worse case scenario, if it's positive, I'll just start the progesterone again.

Whomp whomp @littlek: you can officially remove me from the list, AF arrived today. I was amazed that this cycle was my very first 14 day LP though, those progesterone supplements really did the trick. So much better than 9 day LPs, but man, was it hard to wait so much longer than I'm used to for the cycle to end!
nectarine / 2936 posts
@Littlebit: Ugh I would have been upset too. Hope you will be able to call back with a bfp long before then! I buy my frers and opks on Amazon subscribe and save. That's when you know you've been ttc-ing too long!
@Mrs. Tea: @LittleLashesToes: @sapphire: Sorry guys.
