@shellio: It's okay! I have two cycles with prospective due dates to look forward too. Just have to deal with O happening while at the inlaws, LOL! And now I can go skiing in January - woo!

@LindsayInNY: alcohol!!!! The first medicated cycle I had had me O while on vacation with the ILS. We drank and were suuuuuper quiet.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: DH's family doesn't drink! Gah! This happened last Christmas too when we first started TTC. I don't even know if it really was O time back then. But it will be now. And we'll be sleeping on an air mattress! I suggested the floor but DH said he doesn't want rug burns so he said he'd bend me over something, LOL. Oh man...

@LindsayInNY: hahaha! Gotta do what you gotta do! Middle of the night sex works too. I'd lay a blanket down on the floor maybe?!

@LindsayInNY: Do your IL go to bed early? Either that or when they go to run errands? Middle of the day sex works too...
bananas / 9229 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: Blanket on the floor would work... I feel like I'm back in high school, LOL!
@littlek: They go to bed kinda early? I suggested shower sex too but just need to turn the shower off at some point so it sounds like two separate people showered.

@LindsayInNY: Will you have a car with you at your IL's? What about taking a "drive"?
bananas / 9229 posts
@T.H.O.U.: Bahah! That's not a bad idea! Except for the MI weather :X
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@LindsayInNY: I think shower sex sounds like the best idea! Once the ILs go to bed, and turn the shower off at some point so it sounds like two people showered. Brilliant!

@littlek: will you put Christmas Day as my POAS date? I just got a positive opk and I'm going to be cautiously optimistic that our miracle baby can still happen without medical intervention (will be starting the IVF process in January if it doesn't).
Would love it if you ladies would send some sticky, magical, miracle baby dust our way

@Littlebit: I feel you on being impatient. I only have one frer in the house on purpose.
@AlmostMrsG: That would be an awesome Christmas gift.

Sorry to everyone who is out or prospectively out. I feel in the same boat at only 10 DPO. I'm so mad at myself, I wasted 2 digis testing today because the first one was a dud and that threw me into a frenzy to test again with the other one. Not pregnant. Ugh. Plus my temps are still low, though marginally higher today. LAME.
@LindsayInNY: shower sex with the water intermission!

Finally got a positive OPK today, yes! I wonder if I had been sabotaging myself by using them when I got home from work every day (I drink a ton of water at my desk so I definitely wasn't getting concentrated urine). This time I got a negative right when I got home from work, but then laid off the water and tried again four hours later and got the positive. Making me very happy!

After peeing on 19 opk sticks.... I got my smiley on cd 19 wth ladies!?! I have 28 day cycles! Yesterday I was cramps but chalked it up to too many Christmas cookies. CM is watery I guess. I jumped on DH for a before work quickie after waving the stick in his face. Hope we have okay timing now. I feel like cd 7-13 BDing was a waste!

@dc yoga bee: Either you have a short lp or you O'd later and will have a longer than 28 day cycle this time. Good luck!

@dc yoga bee: Woohoo! Fx for you! I usually have 28-30 day cycles too and I O around CD 17/18.
@littlek: haha. I'm sure he isn't sad about that

Thank you for the finger crossings! I'm happy finally get a smiley but, I'm nervous that I'm getting it on CD 19! I tested yesterday with fmu,got a negative, but had cramps starting around 2pm. This morning's test gave me my smiley. Anyone have a guess if they think ovulation is happening today or do you think it's more likely tomorrow??
nectarine / 2932 posts
@dc yoga bee: Congrats! BD today and tomorrow just to be sure. If it makes you feel better, I usually only have 28-29 day cycles and I ovulate anywhere between CD16-CD19, also.

Quick charting question..my dog woke me up an hour before I normally test this morning at 5am so I tested and got 98.2 degrees. I tested again at 6:30am (so thirty minutes after I normally test) and got 98.6. What should I put in FF? 98.2? 98.6? Somewhere in the middle (98.4)? Or is today basically a wash?

@gksj: that's what I was afraid of If this cycle doesn't work out, I think my next O date is a couple days after Christmas..so Christmas week is going to be busy for us too! And I think for @LindsayInNY also?!

So my sister is acting as a surrogate for me using her eggs and my husband's sperm through IUI. We had our first IUI last month but it didn't take. She just texted me today saying that she has so many mature follies right now that she's triggering tonight and the doctor had to give the triplets speech! She hasn't gotten back to me about how many mature follies she has right now but last month it was two and by the shocked way she reacted this time, I'm thinking she must have around five (and hopefully not more!). Now, my husband's sperm is very healthy with great motility and now I'm so nervous about anything more than twins happening that my hands are shaking. Please help convince me that this is completely normal and the odds of more than one baby are really low still... right?

How's the weather where everyone is? For the MD/DC/VA bees it's been CRAZY.. snow on sunday, snow on tuesday and potentially snow on friday.... INSANITY.... last year we got like nothing

Oh and what makes it even better is we are freaked out about snow.. so schools have been out.. and I'm sure there is no milk or toilet paper at the grocery store..

@however briefly: I would start a thread asking. I know there are a few bees on here who have gotten twins from IUI, but I don't know their specific numbers. I'm sure that they would be willing to share, though!

@dc yoga bee: I can't believe how many places were closed! I got my son to daycare and then they closed. He had an epic meltdown when I made him leave.

@littlek: oh no!
I just played with three due date calculator and if we are successful with this late ovulation i be due on dh birthday!! I hope i didn't ovulate yesterday and missed out.

@however briefly: You might get more answers posting this on the infertility board. I can tell you from my experience with IUI/IVF that if she has 5+ follicles any responsible RE shouldn't be doing the IUI. I did an IUI cycle with more than 5 mature follicles and later found out it was highly unethical of the RE to continue the cycle.

@littlek: it's so weird because we've had almost no snow here in Boston, where we actually have the capacity to handle it! I've been wanting some for the holiday season but at least in the city, just minimal ground cover and mostly wet.
