@loopedd: you have a great positive outlook! I think it's definitely good to know . . . they might want to move to using meds or doing monitoring more quickly (say after 6 months vs 12, though I'm sure it entirely depends on the dr). lots of PCOS people need a little hormonal help (like me!). and if your hormones all look great you'll get some peace of mind. good luck with the testing results!

@loopedd: You'll have to update us with your results! I'm crossing my fingers it isn't PCOS. My doctor is also very pro-tests and it is so comforting!

@MrsMcD: see what up with my 17 day cycle.
Update: he was not concerned but ordered bloodwork to check my hormone level..

He also told me to stop using OPKs, he thinks it's stressing me out. So I guess according to HB that's NTNP.

@littlek: Oh I see. gees. I'm so glad your doctor wasn't too concenred about it.

@littlek: Glad to hear your appt turned out okay and hope all goes well with your bloodwork. How are you feeling about the OPKs?

@spaniellove: I'm going to miss peeing on sticks.. Not the stress of finding out the results

Since I ovulated on day 20 of28 day cycle, does that mean i dont test Friday? Ill only be 8dpo....
honeydew / 7916 posts
@littlek: Hahaha you can pee on sticks all you want at the end of your cycle, right?
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@littlek: not using OPK's would stress me out too much. I would be so worried that we missed our window. Glad he isn't concerned.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Smurfette: he said as long as we start cd10 and DTD every other day we are covered..
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@littlek: I am tired just thinking about doing it every other day...can't imagine doing that. I am so bad....no interest in sex right now.....hopefully it gets better before we want to TTC.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
We've gotten pregnant twice without OPKs so maybe they do stress me out
@dc yoga bee: I'd test the day AF is due
cherry / 235 posts
@littlek: I think I may do that next month if we don't get a BFP this month. Start on CD10 and go EOD until like CD25. OPKS def stress me out!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@littlek: You love DTD?? I hope I get to this point, haha. Last time we were TTC, it felt like such a CHORE! And now with a little one, I'm like Bleh... hopefully I can muster the energy to get back in the game!

DTD is such a chore!! I say, "pre seed is in, uts time to have sex." Hubs says, "hold on, let me finish this level/quarter whatever of video game." Annnd go. LOL so sad!

@dc yoga bee: OMG, that was just how it was for us too!! Hubs would be playing a video game while I was prepping with the pre-seed!

So...I'm thinking my symptoms from yesterday are actually just a cold and not symptoms of a BFP. One of my co-workers has strep and I think I may have caught something from her. YUCK!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@whatsarahsaid: I really hope you didn't catch strep. That would be horrible to have around Christmastime.

Dear ladies of the POAS thread,
You are awesome. This TWW is driving me crazy and the support in the thread is just wonderful. I'm gonna break open the FRER tomorrow morning at 14 dpo.
@whatsarahsaid: I hope you aren't sick!
@littlek: sorry you didn't get a lot of information from your doctor. Since you have gotten pregnant without OPKs maybe taking it easy wont be too hard.
@dc yoga bee: if you ovulated late then you might want to push back when you test, I know you only started charting last cycle but how many days after you ovulated did you get your period? That part of your cycle shouldn't change no matter when you ovulate.
@loopedd: glad your doctor is getting you what you need. Information is good!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@kate6214: Fingers and toes crossed for you tomorrow, lady. I'm rooting for you!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Kate6214: I only chart periods, cm, and use opk. I don't temp as I don't wake up the same time each day. But, last month I got my positive smiley on cd 9, and lots of cm the next day and crazy ovulation pain. Period still came cd 28. This month I got the positive smiley on cd 19! I have never been on birth control either. Crazy!?!

@whatsarahsaid: I hope you don't have strep! I had it as an adult & it knocked my on my butt. I don't remember it being that awful when I was a kid!
I had my annual today, and confirmed O yesterday. My OB and I talked about our TTC plan, and told me she could tell I just Od. I don't know why I was so embarrassed when she told me that! Obviously I did, obviously it's natural and normal, and it's clearly her job to do what she's doing.. but ehh, it was kind of weird when she was in the middle of an exam telling me how great my cervix looked.

Hi everyone! I'm back on HB after a long hiatus and currently NTNP... so of course I'm looking for the TWW threads! I have to get back into the swing of things!
blogger / apricot / 427 posts
@dc yoga bee: Haha sounds like my DH too!! Although he's definitely more excited about the whole thing than I am. Especially with this head cold
I'm on CD18 - still waiting for a positive OPK, or anything other than a low reading on my CBFM
I'm definitely thinking that BFing is messing with my cycles...but I'm just not sure I'm ready to wean just to try harder for #2.
