A Magical Month of BFPs aka December POAS!

@LindsayInNY: We have similar O days! But I am waiting to POAS until the 9th... Your BD timing looks perfect this month! Fingers crossed!

@Littlebit: The progesterone throws things off a bit with POAS since AF won't arrive until after I stop it. Makes waiting a bit easier, I guess? I don't know exactly which day I Oed either so I might only be 13DPO on Saturday?

@loopedd: We were in AZ for the week! My cousin got married last weekend and then we stayed and explored most of the state! It was much needed since the next month at work is going to suck...

@gksj: I don't know if I Oed on CD19 or 20 and the key temp from CD19 is missing because we were traveling so I had to make it up. I don't like POAS during the week so it's this weekend or not at all

I had a co-worker stop me and stare into my eyes this morning, then grinned and said "so... do you have news to share" I looked back at her like she was crazy, ignored the question and moved on.
What does she think she is the pregnancy whisperer! If she knows something that the pee sticks are not telling me then maybe she has a super power!
I am trying to convince myself not to POAS again until THursday if no signs/symptoms of AF... we shall see how that goes. DH is convinced I am, with every morning BFN I am doubting more and more, same symptoms though.
And to make me feel even better- I have had a bad cold/chest infection/bronchitis all of November, and I woke up yesterday with swollen glands in my throat again and a super sore throat.....

@MrsScottish: I always tell people that the day before my previous BFP (chemical), I was really sick - glands swollen, non-stop sneezing, you name it. So I definitely believe that's a sign!! Have you been testing already?

I may have ovulated on November 30th/December 1st so I will set a tentative POAS date for December 15th. If my temps show anything differently, I will let you know. Here's hoping I did actually O!

@MrsScottish: That would be so cool if your coworker were right! Your symptoms sound promising, even the swollen glands, December 8th will be here before you know it!

@LindsayInNY: So nice to have a week off! Why is work crazy this month? Mine will be for the next few months with the busy season in full swing. Snow birds come down in December and after the holidays so the hospitals will be packed!

@Mrs.Panda: It's just end of year billing stuff that has to be in. I'm a little behind where I wanted to be which means I'm stuck working almost 7 days a week to catch up before the end of the year. My own fault but I'm still kicking myself for it!

VERY cautiously joining this thread... O day is today, so POAS day will be at the end of next week (I am a POAS addict, so it'll be early...). Not at all sure I O'ed on the right side this month (I only have one good tube)... and not quite sure I am ready to be KU again, so we'll see how this all shakes out.

@LindsayInNY: Just wondering, with the progesterone, why you say AF won't come until you quit it. Did the doctor say that, or what? I took progesterone last month during the tww, and AF arrived right on time, no different than if I wasn't on it. Just curious why it would be different. Maybe different dosages?

  12. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@Torchwood: Not totally sure. I was told to take it for 12 days post-O and then stop. By the time I confirm O, it's already 3 or 4 days post-O so last cycle I only took it for 10 days (I didn't want to prolong my LP slash AF any longer if I wasn't pregnant). My understanding is that AF wouldn't come since the progesterone would be keeping my levels too high (if that makes sense?). But, I feel like other HBers have said they took it until AF came so I don't know!

    Come on December!!!

    Estimated O Date: 12/13 or 14
POAS/AF date: I'll POAS on 12/25, but AF is due 12/28
Cycle: 3rd on clomid, 5th since our MC
    Trying new this cycle: Nothing.
What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: for Liam to have an amazing Christmas!

I just cant shake this cold! I just hung up from calling my GP office. I spoke to the secretary, seeing if I could get in to see her this week (still not over the bronchitis and chest infection from beginning of Nov,) I explained to her that I dont want to take anything, that Af is due Saturday etc. She typed up my symptoms and questions, and sent an email to my GP as she was talking to me as she is out of the office today and tomorrow. I booked her next available appointment which is Dec 18th! (this is why I never go or just go to the walk in!!). She said that my GP or herself will get back to me in the next 48 hours with what to do. She recommended testing again tomorrow, and if I am to call her back. (I tested yesterday and today with FMU and nothing.)
I told my husband if I am not KU then there is something wrong with me!!!!

Good luck to all the early December testers

@LindsayInNY: Your chart looks good! I'm going to my cousins wedding in Sedona, AZ in May. Anything that really sticks out as memorable that you would recommend doing in AZ? Have the Grand Canyon on my list already since DH has never been. Hope December turns our better than you think at work

Wow, so much to catch up on after taking a hellobee break over the past week while traveling!

    Estimated O Date: 11/24, CD18
POAS/AF date: 12/5 according to FF, which is 11DPO and CD 29, further than I usually get before AF shows
    Cycle: 8th
    Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/MrsSprite
Trying new this cycle: Progesterone supplements from my RE, since I have a short LP (only 9 days last cycle).
What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: Haha, well, I'm getting an IUI for my Christmas present! Now that we know how much fertility treatments are going to cost, DH and I are no longer planning to get each other gifts.

I transferred to an RE this cycle. I'm just waiting out AF before I can schedule my HSG next cycle and my DH will get his SA done soon, then on to IUI in January. So this cycle and the next one we're taking it easy and trying not to stress about O dates or the TWW, since they'll likely be bust cycles anyway.

Good luck and baby dust to all!!

I just realized that ff calculated me expected period wrong!! It was counting on a 28 day cycle where I am 25-26 days. Today is cycle day 23. I usually start spotting in day 22, which is yesterday.

Hi ladies... Here goes round 2 on HB! Last month (November) was my first time on here and I was missing you girls these past couple weeks!

    Estimated O Date: 11/22 or 11/23
    POAS/AF date: 12/5 or 12/6
    Cycle: too many to count
Trying new this cycle: No googling.
What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: A new chandelier for my dining room

@LindsayInNY: My gyn referred me. I had my day 3 blood work come back showing lower than normal AMH (indicator of low ovarian reserve), and since I don't ovulate on my own, and have had 5 unsuccessful cycles on clomid, I don't think she knew what to do with me anymore!

  25. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@Sprite: Ahh. Forgot about all the previous factors! I just had a brief panic moment... DH and I discussed "next steps" and decided to wait until my progesterone RX is out before going down that road. After this cycle, I'll only have 2 more cycles... That scares me for some reason. =/

  26. Sprite

    kiwi / 693 posts

@LindsayInNY: I totally drug my feet at the idea of an RE for a long time. It seemed so final, like, admitting we really weren't going to get pregnant without more help. But honestly, just meeting with the RE was such a load off, and I'm glad I did it. It is so refreshing to have an expert lay out a plan of action for us, rather than having to do all my own research ask for what I wanted with my gyn. It is a scary step to take though, and waiting a few more cycles until your RX is done sounds like a smart decision, to give you more time to mull things over in your mind.

I'm at CD5 and took an OPK this afternoon. Is it just me but does this mean I'm already close to ovulating? The test like is only slightly lighter than the control like.

@LindsayInNY: I can relate to that..I was given 4 months of clomid by my OBGYN and was told after that it was on to an RE knowing I was on my last cycle before was so nerve racking, it is aroad you never plan on going down, but I will say with every failure, or BFN or unsuccseful IUI I'm hopeful that I am that much closer to a baby!!!!!! Hoping for a BFP for you

@littlek: I'd say its still light test again if you can in 12 hrs to compare, are you on any meds????

@littlek: are you counting day 5 after your period ended - or during period? I generally ovulate 6-7 days after my period ends, so that could be right on.

    @FaithFertility: nope, no meds.

@littlek: That seems like a pretty dark line, personally I would just keep checking over the next few days and bd just in case. Maybe try a digital tomorrow or the next day to confirm?

@littlek: hmmmm...BD just in case and test again ; )

  36. stratosphere

@littlek: that is how mine typically look when I'm a day or less away from a positive OPK. I'd definitely keep testing every 12 hours and BD now just in case as Cole and FaithFertility suggested. I O'd about 4 days sooner than I've ever O'd this cycle myself, and it caught me off guard! Thankfully we still hit O-1 and O for BD but I have learned that even after charting for over a year my body is still full of surprises.

@littlek: you could have a lead follicle that was over mature last cycle so it's ahead this cycle...or something like that I've heard of!

@littlek: That definitely looks like it is gearing up to O. So maybe when it's all said and done you will be like 5 days early? Start playing that Barry White!
