@dc yoga bee: I think it depends on what digital you are using. The clearblue says to use FMU.
kiwi / 630 posts
@littlek: Girl, i think you need to take a HPT asap! And by now you won't need FMU for a trustworthy result - run out and buy one.
ETA: i do a 3-4 hour hold in the afternoon for my digital OPK

It was a pink dye, First Response. Just talked to my GP secretary (impressed she actually called me back). It was not very helpfull- doc said that sometimes after coming off the pill your body can get sick. I have been off it since August.... and that if I am experiencing excessive discomfort to go to the walk in) The secretary said though that if I have nothing by Friday, to call back and they will figure out what to do with me.

@LittleK and @MrsScottish: I am waiting for updates from both you!
Update with me...AF did officially rear her ugly, painful head this weekend, it's fading away now. I think I'm getting anxious about my diagnosis, so I ordered and started Femaprin yesterday. I know it's probably a superstitious thing to hope that Vitex works, but I do have two acquaintances who got pregnant after taking it, so I'm just hoping I can convince my body into having a shorter cycle. It'd be awesome to actually ovulate in December! I'll keep on updating with OPKs and charting later this month. Baby Dust to you all! And thank you to the cheerleaders we have this month!

Do you ever just have one of those days (weeks?) where you just kind of give up? I have been trying to lose weight and obviously TTC. Today I just threw in the towel on both. My chart is a mess this month, my face is breaking out so I slathered on retinol cream, I am working odd hours all week so no yoga or swimming. I had cheetos and a coke for lunch- it has literally been years since I last had cheetos! I am pretty convinced that we are up a creek both this month and next due to traveling and bad timing. How do I get out of this slump?
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Cole: don't have great advice but I have definitely been there. and I also ate cheetos today
easier said than done but maybe try to find some things to focus on outside of TTC? hobbies or plans to look forward to that don't revolve around POAS? I also need to lose some weight but I just try to stay the same until January, which is hard enough. you can't win this time of year!

@cole: ttc is such an emotional roller coaster, I'm sure you won't feel like that for long. That's how I feel at the moment, haven't even taken my vitamins for a few days and have eaten nothing but crap! But I know that come nearer O time I'll re motivate myself. Sometimes I think you just need a break from being good and all hopeful, a little time to feel meh about things before you pick yourself up and start again.

I think my body is just gearing up for ovulation early. The test line looks lighter than the control.

Here's the two from today.. Are they positive? Or should they be darker? Trying to figure out if I need to convince DH to put out tonight....
nectarine / 2358 posts
@littlek: I've read somewhere that you take the darkest part of the test line to compare to the control line. Not sure how accurate that is, but by that logic they look positive. I would have him put out.
nectarine / 2079 posts
@littlek: Have you still not taken a pregnancy test? I've never used OPK, but I do know they can show positive during pregnancy and that light bleeding can occur safely during early pregnancy.
If a HPT is negative, I would certainly BD tonight, though.

I may have already started testing and gotten BFNs so far. I'm starting to question our timing, but at the same time not convinced I'm out yet.

@Mrs.Panda: put out
OMG I just can't. Everyone is cracking me up today

I had a really cruddy day at work and this thread has made me chuckle.
@littlek: Take a pregnancy test and make him put out. You can cover all your bases.
@Cole: My cycle is a mess too check out my chart. It may make you feel better.

I've charted for over 3 years and never had anything look like this.

@Kate6214: so you got a positive OPK during your period and no others? That's crazy
cherry / 245 posts
@littlek: I don't use OPKs. I was saying that I'd never seen my chart look so crazy.
However, I know I've heard of people getting positive OPKs this early and turned up pregnant. The fact that your AF was short makes it suspicious.
grapefruit / 4649 posts
@Kate6214: That is a crazy looking chart! Fingers crossed this is the lucky month for absurdities like our charts and the opk situation @Littlek: 'is in. I was happy to see that in your chart from last month your temp was still high during your period. Mine is the only one I have seen where it consistently stays high until after my period ends, does yours always do that?
@bhbee: @Snowdrop: Thanks for the commiseration! I think a hot shower and some Christmas crafts are in order for this evening. In the meantime the cheetos (and coke and cookies) were delicious. Perhaps I should pack my lunch tonight...

Gah, last month I got my smiley at CD 9 using ClearBlue Advanced Digital. This month, it's CD 11 and still no positive. Hubs and I BD CD 7 and 9 so far, but are just too darn tired to do it tonight. Feeling really discouraged that we are not going to follow the smep this month yet again
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Cole: Ohhh yes, who has not had those days, I hate to even admit this as I am waiting for AF to come..... for now I am in no big hurry around the holidays the stress is just to much!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@dc yoga bee: Don't beat yourself up over the SMEP ...that can be hard if life in general gets in the way, remember it only take that 1 time....hope you get your BFP soon!

Hey guys! Just wanted to check in-- I got my BFP at the doctor's today!
No one at the office was really excited bc they were really scared and cautious. Drew blood for betas. My doctor told asked If I used protection bc it's not ideal that I'm pregnant right now post EP. she said it's too early for me to get a sonogram which bummed me out to no end. Instead she wants to draw blood for betas again on Thursday. My ultrasound is scheduled for Monday morning.
Keep me... US in your prayers

@FaithFertility: I'm not sure. I will call tomorrow and find out for sure to know where I stand. I go back on Thursday again to check on my betas to see if they are doubling. Thank you so much for your Prayers
@Hypersonic09 Thank you! I will... promise
@littlek Thank you... praying for some normally big numbers LOL
@runnerd Thank you!
Bonus: I also lost 10 pounds from my juice detox and new eating habits!

@MartinisandOnesies: exactly as long as they go up :))) First numbers really don't mean much!
