Yesterday, when I said "No!" loudly at my 10 month old for flinging his baked butternut cubes onto the floor for the dog, he narrowed his eyes and scowled at me. That was a first! Oh man, I'm not looking forward to this willful child's tantrums.

She learned the word "No". That's been fun.
She has perfected the art of the dramatic fit. Stick lip out, scrunch nose, growl, then throw yourself on the floor while screeching.

DD had her first facedown, kicking the floor tantrum night before last. She's 13.5 months, so I definitely thought I'd have longer before that started! Before that I'd say it was swiping all the food off her tray, with eye contact, when she disapproved of it.

Opening his bedroom door. Before, when he got up really early I could veg/doze on the futon in his room while he played. Now he just beelines for the door, which we can't lock.

@autumnlove: my LO looooooves running away from me, especially in parking lots! Usually she tips me off when she quickly looks around and starts laughing. When I say her full name, she only laughs harder at me and runs!

Shaking her head no when she knows she's doing something I don't want her to do.... before I tell her not to do it. I'm not ready for my baby to willingly disobey me.

Refusing to finish his bottle (only 6oz) in one sitting. So I have to keep offering it to him over the course of an hour to get him to finish it. He's a bit distracted by everything these days!
