@bushelandapeck: CD30 and no AF is a great sign!! Are you planning on testing tomorrow?

@MrsMccarthy: Cramping is a good sign! Maybe you will be lucky your second time and get pregnant on your first try again!

@Brawly: so sorry about BFN. I hope you are just a late implantee!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@littlek: that would be so lucky and amazing. I was feeling more encouraged when I had creamy CM. now it's more sticky and I feel less encouraged. We will see. I may start testing as early as 9DPO on Monday.
@bushelandapeck I'm feeling a bit discouraged. Still very tired and achey and I mildly cramped all night but cm changes make me worry I'm just headed for AF. I hope not. We will see.
Anyone else try any fertility guided meditations? I have one I used with my son that I am gonna break out again to help mellow out my stress. Seems right up your crunchy alley @Holisticmama

@MrsMccarthy: Ooooh, that's encouraging!!! Thanks!!!
@littlek: Supposedly I'm only 4 DPO. I'm not sure I trust FF though because it put my coverline really low and I've actually had a ton of temps this cycle that have been above it, so I'm not really sure I trust it... http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/38ea73/
@MrsMccarthy: I didn't do any specific fertility meditations, but the cycle I got my BFP, I actually did spend 15 minutes every day during the TWW meditating! Not sure if it made a difference or not, but I got a BFP that cycle!

@MrsMccarthy: Oh la la! I LOVE crunchy stuff!
Are they similar to the ones where you imagine the beautiful egg floating down your Fallopian tube and meeting the sexy sperm?
I've done ones like that. I adore guided meditation. Do you have any good ones with audio? Those are the ones I like the best.

@sandy, @littlek, @mrsmccarthy, @bushelandapeck: Thank you, its okay. Appreciate your kind words. If I get pregnant this next cycle my due date could be Halloween and gender predictor says another little girl! LO was born on New Years Eve, so both kids would have really fun birthdays!

@Brawly: Oooh...a Halloween Baby would be FUN!! Coolest birthday parties EVER!!
I'm still hoping this is your cycle though.

Just ran to the bathroom, AF for sure, so I will be a rollover. Here is hoping for Halloween birthday's!!

I first got OPKs not because I really wanted to pinpoint ovulation (Although that would be GREAT!), but I really wanted to become a lot more intimately acquainted with my cycle, but now these OPKs just make me confused. LOL.
For those veteran testers- Does this OPK look a bit dark for CD23?
bananas / 9229 posts
@HolisticMama: "Does this OPK look a bit dark for CD23?" - it's all relative based on when you normally O. I get a +OPK around CD19-21. Typically once I O, my OPK strips get very light. Yours looks like what mine would a day or two before it's positive.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@HolisticMama: have you ovulated? How long is your cycle? I've noticed my OPKs get darker right before AF.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Adira: You have one crazy a$$ chart... I think charting with a LO is soooo hard
persimmon / 1167 posts
@littlek: @LindsayInNY:
I think that I usually O around day 14-16. I guessed day 15 since I didn't get my OPKs in time. And my cycle is usually 28 days.
Maybe AF is on the way. Maybe if I OPK a whole cycle next month I will get a better picture of what the OPKs do for me throughout the month.
Every body and every cycle is so different. It's so confusing. LOL.

@HolisticMama: If your CD23, you can definitely start testing... I think they say 5 days before your first missed period..
grapefruit / 4649 posts
@HolisticMama: That's way darker than mine right now, mine are very faint, almost gray. I think I ovulated 6 days ago or I just haven't ovulated yet.
@Brawly: sorry you are a roll over. Fingers crossed for valentine's day!

@holisticmama: I'm also having OPK confusion over here. I got the smiley face on Tues, although my line looked pretty faint. I happened to look at the lines yesterday when I had a second smiley, and the line was darker than the control. This leads me to believe O was about to happen? However, no temperature rise this morning, so maybe it hasn't happened yet? Ugh this is all so confusing!

@Cole: @ChiCalGoBee:
Interesting, right?
I got dark OPKs around the time I thought I O'd....then they transitioned to being very light and now they are looking dark again. (That is SMU, by the way).
It's so interesting.
I think that for the next couple of cycles I am going to do an OPK everyday at 9:15 AM with SMU just to see the progression. I am so interested in getting to know my cycle more.
I really want to temp, but last time I tried, DH complained because of the beeping. Maybe if we are still trying in a few months he will be okay with it.
On another note, I called my RE this morning and left a message with the clinical nurse to see if she wants me to come in again soon to test my egg reserve again. The doctor wanted to make sure that I wasn't losing eggs faster than I should be. If so- we'd have to look at moving up our timeline of interventions.

@Brawly: oh well never mind, another month to practise! AF is not here for me yet but my next O date is valentines and we will be in Rome on a mini break so I won't be too disheartened if I get a BFN either this month.
Halloween would be an awesome birthday

@HolisticMama: that looks like mine when I will get a positive the next day! Mine do get slightly darker before AF but not that dark. Hmmm........ How many days till AF? Maybe test tomorrow see if it gets darker?
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Snowdrop: I'm going to have to buy tons of OPKs because I'm starting to treat my cycle like a big science experiment. LOL. I wish they taught this in school. Haha.
I think I will do an OPK and an HCG tomorrow to see what happens.
I have cramping, but who knows what that could mean, right? Could mean AF is on the way...or a BFP. Or a ABFP. (I just made that up, but it sounds fun).

Thank god I don't have access to an ultrasound or I would be looking at my ovaries every single day.
And I really want to look at my cervix everyday, but there is NO WAY I could get DH to take a picture every day. LOL.
http://www.beautifulcervix.com/participate/
I'm just beginning to think it's fascinating. At first I couldn't get enough information about wanting to be a doula and birth. And now I'm equally interested in all things conception.

@HolisticMama: I have to say, I have hopes for the HPT! I remember having a look at the beautiful cervix thing. It really helped me understand.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Snowdrop: I have high hopes to! FX! I'm really hoping that I won't see anything until this weekend though or maybe later. I read that the best day to implant is 8DPO. Sometimes I just feel totally ridiculous. LOL. At least I'm having a relatively good time, even though it is frustrating at times. It feels like most amazing life events are like that though. Say, planning a wedding?
persimmon / 1259 posts
@HolisticMama: That's what mine looks like today, and this is CD 9 and post Clomid CD 3-7. I'm going to BD in hopes my positive is right around the corner. I think you should watch it the next couple of days and maybe through an HPT in there!
I'm crossing my fingers, toes, and eyes for you!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@littlek: I'm on 5DPO! Such a tease! Like CD5 it just feels like a real thumb twittle.
@HolisticMama: when I was pregnant my LH test was super dark! FX that you are. On the flip side of things I was just reading in TCOYF that women over 40 peri menopausal can have elevated levels of LH not related to ovulation. It also says more than one day of positive LH means increased chance the test is invalid but i know a few people who have had people pregnancy after getting a couple positive OPKs in one cycle so im not sure i believe that. In your case I hope it's the former!
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsMccarthy: Hm. Either way it could be quite telling. I'm turning 30 in a couple of months, but I do have a low egg reserve, I'm not sure if that could be related to upcoming perimenopause. It's all so fascinating. I wish that a doctor or anyone could tell me exactly what was going on. Or WHAT could be causing my low estrogen. I've been googling and googling and have been coming up dry. Have you read anything about low estrogen in young women?
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: thanks for asking friend! I'm ok...just a little discouraged bc we tried so hard last cycle - BD 8 days in a row from CD 11-18. But I know it takes more than just timing BD.
I used the digital OPK this morning so I'm hoping I'll get a soon (currently at CD7). I'm so hopeful but I know that a digital OPK isn't the magical solution. I need to get some royal jelly that everyone is taking about and my husband has started taking some vitamins too. I think we may try to BD EOD starting now and then everyday when i get a
On the OPK and then continue EOD until close to AF. My husband has a pretty demanding job, like yours, so every day for two weeks would be tough for us...
I will seriously consider getting the fertility monitor if this cycle isn't successful.
I'm soooo hoping that the fertility monitor will give you a BFP!!!
