@sandy: I know it can be discouraging.. I feel like we are both having similar TTC journeys... I really hope this cycle is it for both of us!!!
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: I agree that it seems to be super similar. And I think we have similar personalities - kind of Type A and in control and used to being able to plan things out and make them happen...some people are just so much more zen/go-with-the-flow...and while I can be that way, it is not who I am at the core. I will be so happy for you when you get your BFP

@HolisticMama: love the t-shirt idea Speaking of, I bought LO a big brother t-shirt I've been eyeing. I figured I should have it on hand for whenever the time comes. Wishful thinking.
I also bought some FRERs but, to be honest, I'm almost as afraid of a BFP as I am a BFN...I'm worried I won't be able to enjoy it because I'll be nervous about having another m/c. Normally I would've tested already and I'm scared to even test at all now.

@bushelandapeck: I'm sorry. I've never had a m/c, but I bet they are just awful and scary. Some good meditation might help. How far along were you last time?
eggplant / 11408 posts
@bushelandapeck: hugs, lady. I was terrified of my BFP, to the point that I couldn't even test-I had to go to the doctor's for betas. Just know that when your next BFP comes, which I hope is soon, we will be here for you!!

@bushelandapeck: This. I had a miscarriage (my first pregnancy) in October, complication of which JUST resolved mid-week last week. I am so excited to make babies with my husband...but now, also terrified. Thinking of you!
pomelo / 5720 posts
@HolisticMama: Thank you. I was 10 weeks along last time when I found out he baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. I never saw it coming and it was really hard to wrap my head around. I didn't really think I would be quite as nervous as I am.
@LovelyPlum: It's so nice to have such a great community of people supporting each other through so many tough situations. thank you.

@bushelandapeck: We are here for you regardless of what your test results are tomorrow.

@mfa_lady: thank you. It took over 7 weeks for mine to be complete and it was just so sad and frustrating. I hope now that yours is resolved, I hope your cycle regulates and you can feel safe trying again. As much as I know in my heart there is nothing I can do to change the outcome, it still doesn't make it any less scary. Hugs

@littlek: you are so sweet That I do know and am completely confident that no matter what happens, I will be supported and will keep on trying.

@bushelandapeck: @mfa_lady: thinking of you both! I feel like we all have these fears but no one really believes it will happen to them until it does. I can only imagine how hard it is going back in.

@MrsMccarthy: Thank you, friend. Thank goodness for HelloBee, where we can talk about (write about?) this stuff so that it doesn't have to take over our in-real-life lives. Perfect example: had the week from hell last week, had to go to ER because of miscarriage complications before things FINALLY resolved...and am going out for drinks tonight with four sweet girls who have NO IDEA I was ever even pregnant. What would I do without HB? Thanks to this site, I can function properly when I'm out with my friends tonight.

@mfa_lady: I'm sorry-last week?!! I'm so sorry that it took so long. This makes me sad for you. Are you physically feeling a bit better now?
eggplant / 11408 posts
@bushelandapeck: anytime, lady. It's what got me through-time to pass it on
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@LovelyPlum: Ugh, yes. Took until the week of Christmas for my levels to go down to 6, and then when what I thought was my first AF came (December 28th), it turned out to be actually the end of my miscarriage. I bled for a long time, way longer than a usual period, but just chalked it up to the first one. Then, I had cramping that I couldn't talk through, and crazy bleeding, and had to go to the ER for ultrasound and bloodwork at the request of my midwife (I was out of town). After all that, I passed a clot last week that definitely seemed to be the end of the miscarriage, and thankfully haven't bled or cramped since then. Here's to a new year, right??
I'm feeling so much better now, and finally like I have some closure. I never thought it would take so long...but, according to my midwife, she's never heard of it take that long anyway so it's not something I could have forseen or expected. I'm ready (scared, but ready!) to move forward this year, and hope to be back to POAS in no time.
Thank you so much for checking in on me! You are such a shining light on these boards. Hope you are doing well!!
eggplant / 11408 posts
@mfa_lady: oh my gosh, that sounds completely horrible. I'm so glad that you finally passed the clot, though. I didn't bleed for nearly as long as you did (think, 4 hours, as opposed to 8 weeks), but it was awful until I passed clots. Then, bam! I felt like a new person. How's your iron? I bet that was really hard on your body. My mama pumped me full of vitamins, which also really helped me. I can't imagine what such a long process did to your body.
But YES!!! to a new year. I am so glad to see that you are back at it again. I'm sitting here at 29 weeks (when did *that* happen?!) and just trying to take it one day at a time. Baby is moving and healthy, so even though it's been a bit rough, how can I complain too much? Thanks for thinking of me. I can't wait to see your !

@bushelandapeck: I'm realizing you and I have similar cycles I think, or at least approx AF days. Plus my MC was at 10 weeks too... i hadn't even had my first appt yet, I had one scheduled just one day later w/ US... I didn't even realize how common it was until I had the experience and started talking with others.
That is something I like about this site, you are able to connect with others going through the same experience. No matter how crappy or happy it may be. Feeling hopeful!

@Brawly: I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. It was our first appointment too and we only had an U/S because DH insisted when we couldn't find the heartbeat. As hard as the whole experience was, it really helped me understand what so many people struggle with when TTC. It gave me perspective and I'm thankful for that.

@bushelandapeck: I totally agree, our first pregnancy only took us 4 months and I remember that seeming like an eternity even though it is clearly not. Than when we got pregnant the second time it only took 2 months TTC... so I didn't look at it that way, but you are very right. I am also very sorry for your loss.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@LovelyPlum: Iron levels stayed elevated at a normal place, thank goodness - it was really rough during the second round of bleeding, but like you said, I feel like a totally new person now. There's something about it, it's amazing, really, how our bodies just know.
As for 29 weeks....YAHOO! I am so excited for you! So happy all is going well. Team green, right?

Wow, ladies you guys move quick! I'm back, albeit a bit blurry and a little sore. Sorry for the inactivity, I had to give myself some time to rest these poor peepers!
Surgery went well, now I am just in the recovery phase. I have an appointment tomorrow, though, because in my sleep last night I started to rub my eyes! BIG no-no the first two weeks. My subconscious self took the glasses they give you to wear off of my face and started rubbing. UGH. Now I have to go back to make sure my cornea is okay. I feel okay, but it is a little more blurry today than yesterday, but that could be because of normal healing. The procedure was really quick it and kind of traumatizing lol. But I would still recommend it!
And thank you all SO MUCH for all of the well wishes! They mean a lot!

@mfa_lady: I'm glad your iron stayed up! Mine didn't, but the supplements worked wonders. I can't imagine bleeding for that long. Be gentle with yourself-in addition to being really sad, your body has been through a lot! But you're right, it's amazing how they just know what to do.
And thank you! Yep, Team Green! Where these last 7 months have gone, I'll never know. When you're in the thick of it, it seems like an eternity, but sitting here, it seems like it flew! Now, to get things ready, because I haven't actually done a lick of that yet. Whoops. This baby had better stay in there for a while!

@Mrs.Panda: Oye! I just realized that it would be wise for me to put off TTC for another month until after AF in Feb... a little bummed, but it only one month. I just got a new job, and I'm going to be uninsured until April. If I were to get pregnant this next month and god forbid something bad happened again... if I had to go to the doc, that would be super bad for us right now. Not to mention it would cost us an arm and a leg just for normal prenatal visits. *sad face* Go ahead and remove me from roll over. I'm going to put this off until AF comes 2/19, than we will start trying again, ill just be a cheerleader until then. I would be insured again by the time I was 6 weeks if I got pregnant after that. Plus it would be nice to start a new job without pregnancy brain. Haha!

@Brawly: I know what you mean. It only took us 3 months to get pregnant with LO - but that seemed like FOREVER at that point (and I was already going all out at that point to get a BFP). So far it's been 5, almost 6 months, that we've been trying for #2 and I feel like it's taking so, so long.
Got my crosshairs on FF this AM, so at least I know I probably O'd this month. Here's to hoping the B6 I started taking this month will lengthen my LP more than 3 days!

@Keppa: I agree, @dc yoga bee: said it best when she said each journey is our own and I'm frustrated at cycle 3 and no O yet. Just annovulatory cycles Should I make you a rollover for Feb then instead of TBD?

3rd positive OPK in a row today. I'm totally panicking now that something is "wrong." TTC-not healthy for the Type-A wackos (raises hand). @Mrs.Tartan...GL with your test!!!

@ChiCalGoBee: test tomorrow.. I don't think your first positive was actually positive.. That's why I don't trust digitals. My guess is your 2nd line will be lighter.

@LovelyPlum: any words of advice for those of us still struggling through it?
@Mrs tartan: good luck!
@littlek: woohoo! Keep us updated on your symptoms!
