I say unlimited is good within reason. I don't think u should have to waste time closing threads. I don't mind people having differing opinions, but there are some people out there who come out and say, how dare you have your opinion or observation or whatever? People get catty and I think being able to close it would be great in at least those situations. Also, people post the same questions sometimes, so why not be able to close old threads? I don't think u should have to explain yourself about why you want the thread closed. Maybe have something programmed that detects one user closing out too many threads, although I don't see why anyone would do that. I think a limit like @bluestripped bee mentioned sounds reasonable, if people are worried about all these closed threads. Maybe hostesses can have unlimited since they need to start tons of threads. Some sites automatically close threads if there have been no responses for months.
