We will be throwing a simple garden/tea party for LO in September. She is the only girl in our group of friends with kids as well as the youngest. (All the other kids invited will be 2+). I really don't want to because I was wanting something simple & sweet while she doesn't have a say ( 
) but I should I rent a moon walk so the boys will have something to do? Is there a different activity that would be less gaudy?

You could have some art supplies like crayons and paper available. I did pumpkin decorating at DS's first birthday and the kids enjoyed it. I also set out some of his toys I thought older kids would like like his FP house.

We had a spring theme and the older kids planted tulips, but you could probably do something similar with mums? I just bought pots at ikea, had a big bucket of dirt, a bunch of little shovels and a few watering cans and a few packages of wipes for cleanup and it was a big hit. I just made labels with the older kids names for the pots and that was their favor. It didn't take up as much time as a bounce house, but I would do it again.

We're doing a bounce house! I wasn't sure what else to do, either. All of the kids coming will be over 2. I feel like they'll all really enjoy it, though!
