Assuming you had the party at home, did you do any activities? Just wondering if having something specific for them to do will stop a bunch of 2-3 year olds from destroying my house?

I really want to buy these blocks when LO is a little older (he's 6 months) and have family/friends paint them (may be messy...) https://unclegoose.com/product/uppercase-alphablanks/

We have a playhouse and random variety of toys that the kids played with. I would have rented a bounce house if our yard could accommodate one. Those are popular, especially ones with the water since it's so dang hot here!

We haven't hosted a party in our home, but have attended a few 2-3 year old house parties with:
- bounce house in front yard
- hired balloon artists and face painters
- activity tables (sand, "snow", water)
- DIY photo booth hooked up to computer/printer
- painting activities
- pinata
- random toys

Any chance you want to host it at a park pavilion? $50 rental fee and a playground!

We did bubbles outside. A kids pool filled with bubble solution and lots of different toys to blow bubbles/bubble guns.

We kept it simple and open-ended since all the kids were 0-3. I filled the living room with inflated balloons, pushed the furniture aside, turned on music and let the kids play. This was a huge hit and kept them entertained for hours. We also had pumpkin painting outside (October birthday) with the expectation that it would be a drippy mess, and a big rice bin full of orange lentils and small pumpkin themed toys for sensory play. We got lots of compliments from parents on the age-appropriateness of these activities.

@illumina: if it's still warm out - water tables and water play outside! Always a hit
