Not sure where to put this, so feel free to move.
So we are looking to do a family activity with our DD who is turning 2 this week. We are not looking to do a party just a family activity.
DD has already gone on a pony ride and apple picking this past weekend and this week we're not sure what to do with her. If it matters we are in NYC. DH vetoed Sesame Place.
What activity would you/ did you do with your 2 year old.

Do you have a pumpkin patch close? We do that every year for LO's birthday! Or children's museum, zoo, indoor playground/park, painting place.

Probably the zoo, unless you want to make a weekend out of it, then Sesame Place sounds fun.
I personally love Central Park Zoo, especially the children's zoo portion, BUT, there never seem to be any animals out when we go! So, I'd trek to Bronx Zoo.

We recently did Sesame Place with our 2 year old and it was really overwhelming for her / I feel like it would be better for an almost 3 year old.
Right in Philly there is the Please Touch Children's Museum - we loved it there, definitely the best Children's Museum we've been too!

sesame place's water park area is closed now so i don't think it's worth it anymore anyways ....
I would go to central park zoo then the playground and let her just have fun at the park?
The please touch children's museum in philly is fabulous as mentioned above. So is the Camden aquarium in nj.

@LuLu Mom: there is a patch about 1.5 hours away which isnt far from the IL's house. That sounds like fun.

@aegie: @looch: I'm going to talk to DH about the zoo there is one near us that my friends rave about.
