I work very close to home and have a short commute. My hours are also later than the usual 9-5 (I work 10-6). LO and I have gotten in the habit of sleeping in until 8, sometimes I get ready and let her sleep until 8:30.

She is already a bad sleeper. It takes hours to put her to bed sometimes and she won't fall asleep unless one of us is with her.

I will be taking on a new position in the next couple of months with a 9-5 and a longer commute. I will need to leave around 8:15ish, close to our waking time.

I am trying to figure out how to get LO to go to sleep earlier and wake up earlier. Ideally I would wake up at 6:45 to get myself dressed and wake her up or have her wake up on her own around 7 am. We already have crazy bedtime battles and sometimes I have to get her dressed in the morning while she's sleeping because she's too tired.

I need help figuring this out. Luckily, I won't be starting until March or so, so there's time to get us both on track of getting up earlier.

Any tips/advice?
