What would you do if you were already 6 days late, tested on late day 5 and it was bfn? Re-test or just keep waiting for AF to show up?
Like, what the heck!!!

I would think I misjudged my ovulation and I was having an extra long cycle. That has happened to me but I know I have PCOS so it's not that strange. I think the tests are pretty accurate in my experience but I have a friend who only ever got late positives even with her healthy twin(!) pregnancy.

Yea, how sure are you of your cycle length and O date? The odds are there is something off in your cycle this month.
But to be sure, I would do EOD testing.

I'm a tester so I'd test again. and again. And again. till I see a BFP or AF shows up. lol

I do have wonkly cycles, but I've never been this late. Average is 28 days, but over the 6 months they've been 28, 29, 31, 24, 30, and a 28 day cycle.
Yikes! I think I am going to call my ob and see if they can order a blood test. I just went to pull the other stick out of the box to test again and saw this. I know I should have thrown it away, but when I tested yesterday I thought I saw a super, super faint 2nd line, but DH didn't see anything so I figured my mind was playing tricks on me.

@matador84: Get a FRER. I had a line similar to that on a blue dye test WHILE I was on my period.

@avivoca: I forget how bad the blue dye tests are! Of course I sent DH to go get the test yesterday and didn't think to remind him.

@oliviaoblivia: next time I have to pee, I'm going to take the other junk blue dye test--knowing my past pregnancies, if it comes up with 2 lines, it'll be a sure thing.

@matador84: I'd guess just a weird cycle. BUT....I would also be testing non-stop if it were me. Ha!

@mfa_lady: tell me about it!!!
We are doing arts and crafts right now. Priorities! Man how times have changed. Ha! hopefully here soon!

@matador84: Those blue dyes are so tricky! I took a few (because I had them) with this pregnancy, and they were all sketchy looking even though I was definitely pregnant. Don't hate me for hoping it's the real deal for you?
ETA: By sketchy-looking, I mean like yours. And I'm 22 weeks now.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@matador84: That is a legit line! But I know about the fear with Blue Dye!
papaya / 10560 posts
@mfa_lady: I would have to go way back into my threads but I think with my lo2 I tested a blue dye first! It came up positive too, I think. It may was with Lo1 though. I can't remember!
I'm going to call a friend who might have some extra tests and see if I can run by her house since my kids are now napping in the car!

@matador84: YES GIRL. Why are pregnancy test threads my favorite thing on earth? I wish you lived near me. I would totes take a late lunch and pick one up for you!

Ack!! Yes, FRER asap! And I suppose you'll need to just live at the hospital in later weeks to avoid a side of the road delivery this time???
papaya / 10560 posts
@pregnantbee: hell! I don't know! My annual is in July so I would definitely be asking!
DH wants to wait until he gets home tonight to test and see! The agony!!!!!
grapefruit / 4717 posts
@matador84: Nooooo. You're gonna make us wait?? lol (And I'm totally jk about living at the hospital, but damn, your story comes up in every "crazy delivery" story!)
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@matador84: OMG! can't you test and just tell him tonight!
papaya / 10560 posts
@pregnantbee: hahahah. I know! Um...it will probably end up being a home birth but not by choice! Jk. Still could be negative but looking doubtful!
grapefruit / 4717 posts
@matador84: You know you want to test now so you can tell us all. DH can wait

Coming from the person who has started the most POAS threads in Hellobee history, you need to POAS again now, post a pic, and update your husband later. Priorities!
papaya / 10560 posts
@winniebee: LOL!!!! Where is the laughing crying emoji!!!!
Am I so bad that I am about to tell him he's crazy and I can't wait? He won't even be home for 4 more hours!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@matador84: don't even tell him you're testing again. just do it and then pretend you're testing for the first time later
papaya / 10560 posts
@winniebee: I just told him he can close his office door and ill FaceTime him! LOL! Practically the same as telling in person, right?!! Ha!
papaya / 10560 posts
I'm about to do Walmart online grocery and go pick up-Just so I can get a test! Hahahahaha!!!!
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
@winniebee: yes yes yes. I have totally done that before. It's awful - but a girl's gotta POAS when a girl's gotta POAS. I always let DH think he was the first to know.
