I loved all my monthly/quarterly portraits I have of LO before she turned one. Since then we did 18 month and now 2 year old portraits. I'm not sure how often I want to do them now. Maybe just annually? I feel like she is going to grow so much between age 2 and 3 though!

I keep buying Groupons for Picture People or Portrait Simple. They're always under $20 and you get a ton of photos. I plan on continuing to purchase these packages as long as they have them. We've had good luck.
DH does sports photography for a few teams and will take photos of DS at birthday parties, etc.

@Mrs. Pen: Yes, or just nice portraits you take at home. I have a DSLR but its hard to get her to sit still.

As for now I do monthly photos, and then anytime something special is going on. After LO turns one, I'll probably just do special occasions or outings as I imagine getting her to pose for a photo won't be so easy so I'd like to get more candid or action shots.

@rachiecakes: We do the same. I just bought a Groupon for PP. Our pictures have always been great and we've walked out with them. I do them every 4-6 months.

Every month as an infant, now it will be every 6 months.

I never took monthly, but I take a daily picture of her and there are usually some good ones in there.

@T.H.O.U.: ah ok! I like to strive for yearly family photos (professional) but yes I do have to be intentional about getting nice pictures with my DSLR as well. I just did an intentional "shoot" with him last week. I suppose now I want to do one every 6 months?
