Ugh. I'm sorry, that sucks! I've had this happen before too to a bunch of glass balls. I think we sprayed them with Lysol and through away the box. But I grew up in the country and mouse poop was a frequent occurance so I've kinda become immune to the extreme gross out.

Unless they're fabric, I'm pretty sure you can wash them with dish soap. Just put them in a new box that closes tightly afterward... I'd toss fabric ornaments and garlands though.

This happened to me this year with our fake tree box. I had my husband take it outside spray it with dilute bleach solution and then hose it off. The poo was old and dried out so the risk of communicable disease by contact was low to begin with, but for airborne disease like lepto/hanta I took the bleach precaution even though they're not common in my area.
