Hellobee Boards

I need to follow this. We may be guilted into flying to attend a distant family member wedding in September when LO will be around the same age. I'm scared, I might make MIL take LO on one flight while DH and I take another one (J/K).

I bought my LO all sorts of new toys for her first flight. All she wanted to do was play with the plastic cup that the flight attendant gave her and pass our empty bag of pretzels from me to DH and back again. That literally took up an hour!

1.5 hour flights sound awesome!! I would honestly prefer shorter flights with a layover than 1 longer flight. Last month we flew on 6 (!) different flights and my LO was 12 months old. The flights ranged from 1-4hrs long. He slept on 5/6 of them for at least 30 minutes...and he's a baby that usually NEVER sleeps on/with us...like ever.

I brought tons of toys and snacks but he was way more entertained by the tray table and armrests. He also loved flirting with the flight attendants :). Something he really loved was a lift-the-flap book I bought. It was a small book (maybe 4"x4"?) but had 20 pages/flaps. It held his attention for 15-20 minutes at a time. If you're not opposed to technology, I'd also recommend bringing an iPad if you have one.
