Charlie woke up around 1:30 am Manila time after sleeping for 9 hours or so (he fell asleep waiting for the airplane and after the flight was cancelled, we were able to transfer him to a van and then to bed still asleep).. When he woke up though, he was talking and waking up Olive, so I took him out of the room to the hotel business center and we did arts and crafts with printer paper and a stamp/inkpad. 3 hours later, I tried to get him to fall asleep in the hallway just outside our room (so he wouldnt wale up Olive) but just as he was about to do so he had to pee. So we snuck back into the room so he could use the potty.

While in there, I made bedding out of the bathmat and towels and got him to sleep. After he went down, I brought the comforter in there to keep him cozy. He's in there now, deep asleep.

I feel like the MacGuyver of parents right now! One of my greatest and most improbable parenting feats. Happy travels depend on rested kids, so I'm very happy with his sleep tonight.

What is your all time greatest parenting feat?
