Ah! My allergies are driving me batty today! Eczema is flared up all over my face and neck. And I'm sooo itchy! Anyone else? So tempted to load up on Benedryl, but don't want to dry up my milk or be too sleepy to take care of K. Just a rant. That's all.

Mine were terrible today as well! I took a tab of Zyrtec but since it reduces milk I also ate oatmeal and took some Fenugreek as well. I hope the two cancel each other out! LO doesn't seem to be fussier at the breast today thankfully so maybe I'm ok.

Mine have been awful! Sore throat, congestion, itchy eyes.
I took a Zyrtec today...I would loooove a Sudafed, but I think that would really affect my supply.

My allergies are terrible. My "seasonal" allergies bother me all year!
@shopaholic: have you ever tried a neti pot or something like that? I use a "nasal irrigator" from NeilMed (you can find it at any drug store). It comes with special salt packets that you dissolve in warm water and squirt up your nose. Not the most pleasant sensation but after a few days or twice daily use, I didn't need to take nearly as much allergy medicine.

@PointeShoesTutus: I do have a Neti Pot, but most of my allergies are skin-related and terrible eye itching.

@shopaholic: my sympathies. I wear contacts so when my eyes get itchy, I feel like I want to scratch my eyes out on the bad days.
My immune system is all jacked up from various autoimmune disorders so I get weird skin issues from time to time. My mom suggested putting a wet, cool black tea bag on the itchy patches to help soothe it. It works as far as stopping the itch but doesn't do much for the underlying cause. Thought I'd pass that along just in case. -
I've found the only thing that worked for me was acupuncture. Not sure if it would affect BF though.
