E has pretty much had a constant runny nose and congestion for several months. He just got over bronchitis and a double ear infection and the PA at his pediatrician seems to think it is allergy related.

DH and I have both had respiratory health issues these last few month as well, but neither of us have allergies. I think this is more likely related to daycare germs, especially since 4 other kids in E's class had respiratory and ear infections around the same time.

She prescribed a daily allergy med, but I'm really hesitant to give my almost one year old meds every day for an allergy that may or may not exist. She referred us to an allergy specialist, but the thought of allergy testing on such a little kid also does not appeal to me, but I also don't want him to suffer if it is an allergy.

Has anyone had allergy testing done on their LO, or give them allergy meds on a regular basis?
