I'm seeing all these responses now and I feel like a party pooper! No new action yet. I woke up this morning with the same cramps as last night. I feel not so hot though. DH had to bring me some water this morning because I felt like I was going to faint. So now I'm just watching and waiting. Cramps are still in effect.

Exciting!!! Good luck @grizz and @mrs.lovejoy!!!

ETA: definitely not a party pooper - it still sounds as though things are happening!

Ooh good luck! I had lots of prodormal labor, tons of timeable cramping that just never went anywhere the whole week before I went into labor. It drove me nuts. Then I got my membranes stripped on Jan. 31 and the cramping stopped after a couple of hours, nothing on Feb. 1 but then my water broke that night and I immediately started having strong, regular contractions. Gave birth the next morning.

@grizz: I cramped for probably 2-3 days before labor started! So this can very well be "early labor".

@grizz: I definitely call early labor! Hydrate, eat, & continue resting as much as you can. Hopefully during the day it'll die off some so you can rest & get some feeling of normal! I had nightly prodromal labor for 6 nights & the 6th it just stayed through until I delivered!

@grizz: Thinking of you! Even if it's not the "real" thing, it's doing work you won't have to do later! Relax, maybe see your chiropractor, take a bath, enjoy some quality time with your hubby, all that good stuff. You'll be in active labor soon, it sounds like!

@grizz: good luck!! I hope the crazies stay away. Maybe you can hide out somewhere with LO once safely delivered.

@grizz: Good luck again. I'm no help because I cramped on and off during the day at work. I didn't think anything of them. I thought that I was dilating in anticipation of my 40 weeks appointment. I went into labor that night. I guess my advice is relax, watch tv, and see if the cramps worsen. Mine got worse in a short period of time, then I had LO the next morning.

Either way, your LO is planning his birthday to hopefully spare you from the crazy inlaws.

@MrsLilybugg: I actually need to update that thread. We had the most tense and awkward but AWESOME dinner with the ILs last night. Basically DH went Daddy Grizz on his parents and laid down the law... I am rather proud of him! Our house is no longer a stop on the family reunion wagon train

@grizz: I have no idea how I would handle that family situation. (If we lived anywhere near family, I'm sure we'd be in the exact same predicament.) Seriously, good on DH to back you up and handle it!

@grizz: tthat's how I felt the Friday before my labor started. Then Saturday I didn't feel anything, Sunday I lost my mucus plug and cramping started coming in waves.my water broke when I was walking in to the hospital at 545 am Monday morning.

ETA- oops I didn't see when this post started. Hope you're doing well, and yay for daddy grizz!

@grizz: 1) even if its pre-labor, you're body is still doing its thing! 2) yahoo for getting taken off the family reunion itinerary! This is a good week
