So yesterday I was really shocked when a USPS truck pulled up to my house and delivered a box from Amazon. My DH had only ordered it Saturday morning! I googled it and it turns out Amazon is partnering with USPS to deliver on Sundays.

I have not but I hope this doesn't mean all Amazon stuff will come from USPS now? Currently Fedex always delivers my Amazon stuff and I 
Fedex!

Eh - I'm torn about this... Obviously, excited to possibly get packages a day earlier, but my dad is a mailman (sorry, "letter carrier") for USPS and it is awesome that he always gets Sundays off. Their days-off schedule really sucks, but at least he always had Sundays...

I am personally all for cancelling Saturday mail as well.

I think it's really weird. I would never expect to receive a package on Sunday. Poor postman. I, too, think we could do without Saturday delivery as well.

@swurlygurl: Yep. My Dad also works for USPS in the mail room and front counter and he only gets one day off if he is lucky, he has been working 65 to 70 hours a week. I am all for canceling Saturday mail and keeping Sunday with no mail delivery.
The mail is always moving and no matter what day or Holiday it is someone is always at the post office.

My DH and I read about this yesterday, but I didn't realize it had already started! It'll be a while before it comes to Charlotte, but it's a neat idea. I'm sure it'll help the PO.
