I missed all the lightening deals I was watching, but the only thing I really wanted, I can get for cheaper at Buy Buy Baby with a coupon, so nbd. I bought some saltwaters for LO in the next size up and a couple of birthday presents that weren't on sale.

@Foodnerd81: I know Target has a NextFit zip too. I think the BRU one is a specific color that they don't have anywhere else.

I got an instant pot, ballet clothes and 3 pairs of shoes for my daughter-poor girl grew out of her shoes last week and made her wait! Oh and an elephant and piggy book. All of those things were on my list of stuff to buy except the book which was $5 so I'm happy with the deals I got.

@psw27: @mrs.shinerbock: I bought ours shortly after it came out so only BRU had the zip. Good to know it's more widely available now. And I would definitely spring for the zip if LO puked in the car a lot. It happened to us once and I cursed myself for not getting the zip.

@lilyann: wish I had seen the Dionos!!!
3 orders including: Instant Pot, outdoor lights, toddler croquet (possibly a horrible idea), 2 Elephant and Piggie books, wool dryer balls. Oh, and it wasn't a deal but a unicorn piƱata for DD's birthday party.

@LulaBee: I've never been so excited about car seats I think Amazon had a promo last fall on the Diono that was around $200. They also released new fabric so the older ones are being reduced!

I got three items that I really wanted.
-Skip Hop Hedgehog lunch bag (bought the backpack for DD last year!)
-Angel Dear Blankie, Brown Puppy (DS' favorite)
-Fjallraven Kanken Daypack, Ox Red (I've always wanted one for myself!)
Last year I think I got caught up in the excitement and bought a bunch of random things without really thinking them through! This time around it seemed a lot calmer on the website.

Considering I place over 100 orders a year and have spent $16000 in the past 10 years.... I find it amazing that I didn't buy anything! There was just so much to choose from and I didn't really have anything in mind. I had just recently purchased a car seat, a stroller, solids supplies, and we were given gifts of disposable diapers and wipes. Also LO is in between the "infant" and "older baby/toddler" stage.

I ordered:
- Dohm sleep machine
- Cuisineart pot holders
- Cheap toys for school friend birthday gifts (remote control car, Melissa & Doug cookie set, and Lightning McQueen toy)
- Pampers swaddlers
- Breastmilk storage bags
- Diaper cream
No regrets here.

@jojepie: Yes, I think this year a few changes really helped.
1. Not everything was "lightening" deals. Like the 30% off apparel and shoes that was open all day was a huge bonus.
2. The search function to be able to see if there was a deal on something I had my eye on.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@jojepie: Also, whats so special about that backpack? I'm looking for something similar (throw in 2 diapers, wipes and my wallet). I grabbed a different backpack but figured I can return if I dont like it.

I feel so lame. I didn't get anything because I didn't find anything that I couldn't get cheaper with a 20% BBB coupon, but now I think I missed out!
My husband says he ordered me lots of neat stuff for my birthday, so that's exciting.
pomegranate / 3872 posts
I also ordered the instant pot, which I'm excited about. Some stuff for lo and a shirt for my friend for an event this weekend but I'm afraid it won't get here in time so I'm bummed about that.

@T.H.O.U.: yes! I wanted to search for specific products, it was frustrating not to be able to do this
blogger / kiwi / 588 posts
@T.H.O.U.: The Fjallraven is not too big, the zipper opens almost all the way down and it is also made of a lightweight, water resistant material. I love that it can be worn as a backpack but there are handles on the top too if you want to hand-carry it.

I'm happy with my purchases. I got each of the girls a pair of shoes for the fall (SKR and Livie & Luca), a toy for DD1's birthday, a box of diapers for DD2 and a Bentgo lunchbox for each of them. I also threw in a few add-ons that I had been eyeing for next month's road trip.

I ended up getting...
-some toys for the twins
-bathing suits for the twins for next summer
-clothes for my nephews (belated bday gift)
-baby food pouches
-baby puffs
-usb hub
-cabinet locks
-blue lizard face sunscreen
-cardigans for me
-cargo shorts for DH
-socks for the twins
-coffee pods
-Hotels.com gift card
-Pampers diapers
-prime pantry (some items were 50% off)
At first I did have a buyer's hangover but looking back almost everything I got we needed... so the 20-30% off discount was an added bonus.

The things I got were all extra 20% off Warehouse Deals, nothing that was a product-specific PrimeDay deal/lightening deal.
2 of the 4 things I ordered had been languishing in my "save for later" for a few months because I was hoping/expecting there would be another PrimeDay with Warehouse Deals discounting.
I impulse purchased wheels for LO's magnetic blocks kits and a train set.

We bought a new seal for our washing machine door. Exciting stuff over here.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
I bought DD another rash guard and two iPlay swim diapers. She needed them and I was planning to buy them this week so the 30% off was nice.

I got great deals but I'm going to be embarrassed when the UPS guy arrives! I feel like my orders will take up half his truck. We won't be home either, so our porch will be full! Diapers, an Instant Pot, and an owl backpack were my big deals.

I did no rush shipping for every order so I could get the credits and yet I got an email saying everything is being delivered today! woo-hoo!!
kiwi / 554 posts
I wish I had ordered more! I missed all the lightning deals I was watching so just ended up getting a few boxes of diapers and some add-on items that were in my cart anyway... really wish I'd picked up a convertible car seat....
grapefruit / 4235 posts
@bluestriped bee: i bought everything in separate orders to get the $1 digital credit. I bought:
-$50 amazon GC (get $10 credit)
-dash button .99 (get $4.99 credit with first order)
-new lightning cable
-animal planet grow and hatch dinos
-rain boots
-paw patrol watch
-diapers
I think i did OK!
If you're in PA, the legislature passed a tax on digital downloads which is effective Aug. 1, so use those digital credits before then!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@dagret: For most of my orders, I was given the $5.99 off Prime Pantry promo if I had no rush in getting my order. Towards the end of the day, that's when I saw the digital credit.
Oh, anyone who opted into the Prime Pantry promo, I just got an email saying I have until September 30, 2016. I think I have a few of these now and I doubt I will use them all up by Sept 30. I wish the expiration date wasn't so near.
grapefruit / 4235 posts
i usually stack the buy 5 and ship for free promo with the pantry credit. and if i ship for free i don't feel like i "HAVE" to fill the box.

@catlady: I had those bose headphones in my cart, then I took them out and I am sooooo regretting it!

I totally had buyer's remorse and cancelled 2 orders and will probably return one
I am excited about the deal I got on a Diono Radian, Pampers, and Aquaphor. I also got a cosleeper thing and a birthday present for LO1 - not sure that they were great deals oh well.
I'm sad that I missed out on lightning deals for a reverse osmosis system and a couple other toys that LO's would have really loved for birthdays or Christmas.
grapefruit / 4361 posts
@bluestriped bee: I do those Prime Pantry credits all the time, and they are actually pretty convenient, though I don't always get to use them all up. If you need to bulk up a Prime Pantry box, I usually order cereal, toilet paper, or Kleenex. Those are some pretty big items that I would be buying anyway.

Did anyone see that Amazon sold over 215k of the Instant Pots on Prime Day?

Two orders- a car seat and an in-bed cosleeper. Both were the exact item I had on my registry and I used a gift card to buy them so I spent 80 cents total! I also did the no-rush shipping to get a Prime Pantry credit
