I'm American, living with my Swiss DH in Switzerland. I was wondering if there are any other Americans out there who have adopted while NOT living in the US, and with the child being from an entirely different 3rd country.
I am just wondering how to even begin researching what we would do!
(Sidenote: We are TTC but I'd adopt now if we could. We will most likely adopt regardless if we have biological children.)

Not exactly the same as you but my aunt and uncle adopted their son from Japan while they were stationed there. They ended up just doing a domestic adoption because they lived there. Then when they moved home they had to get his citizenship. I think if you want to adopt I would just look at adoption agencies in your area. They will be able to go over your choices with you.
