@SSLM: We're flying out on Friday. It was cheaper to fly one way with WJ and the other with AC!
Good luck to you on Porter! I love Porter, but they don't fly direct to where we're going...

@tinyperson: I fly in and out for work, on Air Canada regularly. The airport is huge and there are lots of food options (i.e. Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Milestones and other kiosks) in both terminals. Plan for at least half an hour to 45 mins to clear security depending on the time of day, although if you get a nice person they will send you through the priority line because of LO.
I know when AC & WJ board they always call people traveling with children first so you should get to board early and get your stuff settled.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

@mrswin: hi, we fly out of Pearson all the time, but this is the first time with a baby! Any areas that are better than others for feeding her?

@tinyperson: Well I don't have any LO's yet so I can't really comment on that Sorry!
Doesn't look like there are any nursing rooms or anything but usually you can find a quiet gate that no one is at. You should have no problem feeding here there

i've flown with LO on aircanada a few times -- with and without DH usually from yvr to yow, but i've been through pearson many times (without LO, so can't speak to that unfortunately).
i've had a good experience each time!
i usually check my baggage and his car seat at the ticketing booth, take lo and his diaper bag in our citymini through security (every single time i've been bumped up to the front for security scans) -- including formula and milk.
i gate check his city mini before boarding, and that's it!
i prefer to sit somewhat near the back so i can go and stand back there with LO in the carrier during the flight. for me, aisle seats with an LO is a must
also, if you are not ebf and will use bottles, it is useful to have a big empty disposable cup so the flight attendant can warm the bottle for you (put bottle in big cup, they fill with hot water). they don't have anything the right size on the flight. i usually get an empty XL timmies cup before i board :). i can just throw it out later.

@tysonja: thanks! All good tips. We're not bringing our car seat or stroller - just the Beco. Hopefully we get bumped up through security! She is EBF, but I'm bringing bottles too...just in case. She doesn't take them warmed up, so I don't have to worry too much
I think we're at the back of the plane on one flight, but near the front for the other. Not sure why DH did that!
Here's hoping she behaves...she's usually really good, but mid-afternoon she gets a little fussy sometimes,

@mrswin: here's hoping! I fear it's going to be a busy travel day because I think school is just out

@tinyperson: that's great that you guys are travelling so light! i'm sure she'll do awesome and i wouldn't worry about sitting in the front... it's just a personal preference for me to sit at the back with LO --- mainly because i was flying without DH that time have fun on your trip!!
