We have absolutely no plans! Hopefully our a/c will be fixed tomorrow though... in which case, I will probably blast the a/c and stay home for at least part of the day!
Any exciting plans this weekend?

Woohoo, I bet it will feel heavenly to have your a/c working again!
We're having family over for a BBQ tomorrow night for DD's birthday, then celebrating her actual b-day Saturday but we keep throwing ideas around for that.

@mrbee: So exciting!!!
I think we're going to a going-away BBQ for one of DH's bosses (he's being transferred back to the main HQ), but I don't think we have any plans besides that. Maybe we'll take a short day hike on Sunday.

Nothing here. I'm boarding 2 dogs who do not get along, so mostly I'll be staying home and keeping the peace!

Packing, which in itself isn't very exciting but it means we are that much closer to moving to our new house so that's exciting!

We have an exciting weekend. Bidding on a house (wish us luck!), hanging out with my husbands cousins and their kids, dinner with FIL, Woofstock (a dog festival - dorky but awesome) and a massage and facial for me.

@swedishfish: Haha. I keep thinking, when swedishfish goes into labour, then I will know its getting real!! Are you having any signs? I feel totally normal, not a twinge or anything!
So to answer the question.... I have no plans, just pottering about getting ready for baby! Going out for dinner etc..

@PrincessBaby: I don't know how you handle three weeks at a time. Mine is gone Mon-Fri and that is hard enough!

DH is getting home from a work trip tonight at 2am. We thankfully don't have any 'real' plans, but we have to buy him a new suit and start to organize everything in the nursery which right now is piles of presents and decor/shelves that need to be hung.

@sea_bass: no real signs yet except for slight dilation (2.5 cm) and effacement (50-60%). Lots of BH contractions.
My MIL is insistent that new moons and full moons bring babies and there's a new moon tomorrow.
Hopefully we have a few more days to rest up before anything happens!

@swedishfish: They ARE signs Ohh the new moon tomorrow... I wonder who will be next!

Working. That's what we do on our weekends. This weekend we'll be tearing down and rebuilding a few more miles of fence. Yep, loads of fun here!
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@sea_bass: haha I've been dilated since Mothers Day though and the last time it was checked was Memorial Day. I'm just kind of hanging out. Can't wait to see who has the next June baby!

I am having a garage sale!
I am at work right now, and as soon as I get off I will be making signs and putting price stickers on everything.
Tomorrow morning is early set-up, and then the sale. My husband will be BBQing hot dogs and selling those, too! It will be fun!
Sunday we are going to a friend's kid's 9th birthday party. There are going to be horse rides. Fun!

@swedishfish: Can I jump in and say that I know how you feel right now---I ended up being induced but when I was I was already 5 cm dilated. I was literally half way dilated and my body still refused to go into labor. It was the most frustrating thing ever!!!

@PrincessBaby: three weeks!? whoa.
My husband has been gone for the last week, and comes home on Sunday morning. I cannot WAIT.
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@Rainbow Sprinkles: oh gosh that's a nightmare of mine! Did your induction go smoothly though because you were already so far dilated?
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
No exciting plans for us. Yard work on Sunday if the weather cooperates. We have new friends coming over tonight, which will be fun!
eggplant / 11287 posts
@swedishfish: Yes it went super smoothly! at 39 weeks I was measured at 5 cm, so my doctor was like "you're going into labor any second now!" At my 40 week appointment I was still pregnant, of course, and needed to be induced for high blood pressure.
I was induced with Pitocin and was in labor for 16 hours. The nice part was that they never turned my pitocin drip up over a 1 or a 2....it was literally the tiniest dose ever. my body just needed a little kick start! They ended up being able to turn the Pit drip off entirely after 11 hours or so. Those pitocin contractions are brutal, though!
fingers crossed baby comes soon for you! I know the final weeks/days are rough.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Yep! He works three weeks (on an oil rig) and then is home 3 weeks (zero work). It gets really tough sometimes- not gonna lie!!!! Enjoy your DH's homecoming!!!
eggplant / 11287 posts
@swedishfish: My doctor said that if you are 3 or more cm dilated when you get induced, your chances of C-section are the same as if you were to go into labor naturally.

We have a toddler birthday, a BBQ that we'll probably skip, and a ton of errands to get packed up for a month! Plus actually packing. It's going to be crazy and bonus I get to hang out with both kids on Sunday because DH has a shift. I can't decide if I'm more excited or stressed about getting it all done. Ahhh

I am spending this evening baking far too many cookies for my niece's bat mitzvah party tomorrow evening. DH is going out with some friends (I was invited but I don't care for some of them).
Tomorrow = family day
Sunday = working from home to try and catch up a bit.
