@cheert16: ugh, me too!
My mom is bringing Texas caviar and chips (yum), and my sister is doing caprese bites (tomato, mozzarella and basil on a stick, double yum). Me? No clue!

@cheert16: it's beans, corn, tomatoes, bell peppers, etc. with spices and lime juice. It's like crack to me. I'll eat a huge bowl of it for dinner

Here's just one of many recipes: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/texas-caviar-i/
I personally don't put the Italian dressing in mine. I prefer olive oil, lime juice and spices.

Texas caviar is a good one! It's like a bean salsa. My recipe is a little different than @cmomma17's but it's always a crowd pleaser.

@Sweet T: I do it a little differently than that recipe I posted but you're right, it is always a crowd pleaser!

Mix all ingredients except bananas & chill. Add bananas just before serving.

@cheert16: wah, my computer won't open your link. BLT is probably not for me though, since I'm vegetarian but I bet my family wouldn't complain! Pasta salad is a great idea though! Off to google recipes....
@smurfette: what's asian slaw? I don't know if I've ever had it. A friend of mine always brings asian noodle salad to parties and it's awesome!

Broccoli slaw is great. You can buy the shredded broccoli next to the normal slaw mix in the produce aisle. Mix with dried cherries, pistachios, and poppy seed dressing. Yum!

@Mrs. J: ummm, yummy!!! @smurfette: Yum!
Why haven't I had either of these dishes before? Both of you just need to make them for me! LOL
I'm leaning towards a tortellini pasta salad .... I think I'll save the slaw recipes to enjoy at home!
