Yep, my friend from high school got engaged in Times Square on Christmas Eve! Huge billboard of them, with the "will you marry me" underneath, and when she turned around he was down on one knee. Precious!

I told my bf is he asked anytime during November/ December or on a holiday (esp Valentine's Day) then I would say no. Ha! Any ol' Tuesday will work. I'm a private person and I would hate to be asked in front of family/ friends.

Yes! My husband's best friend proposed (we knew it was coming), and my cousin got engaged in front our whole family in the most awkward proposal ever. Mainly because I'm pretty sure she wanted to say "no" but felt obligated to say yes since it was in front of everyone. We don't think a wedding will actually happen.

Yup! My 70 year old Uncle who has been a widower for 3 1/2 years got engaged to his girlfriend on Christmas. The wedding is in May.
