Are there any other Houston area bees out there interested in meeting up somewhere? I'd like to meet some other local moms.

I am and I'd love to get together. A handful of us got together one evening about a year ago but haven't gotten around to setting another one up.

I am close! Where are you located? I currently have a newborn but I would be interested in meeting up when he's a little older

Meeeeee!!! I'm in Cleveland, about an hour north of Houston but I'd LOVE a meetup!
@MamaBehr: LO is only 4 months...our LO's can be friends

I'm in College Station about an hour and a half away, but I do make it to Houston a few times a year!

@Mrs. Sunshine: Nice!! If you ever come up this way let me know, we'll grab a coffee or something!

Me me!
@Mrs. Sunshine: I have a 5-month old little girl and live off 59 (North of Houston). Not quite as far north as you, but I don't think Cleveland is very far from me at all.

@Bookish: will do!
@lawbee11: I have a girl too!
I've really been looking for some friends with babies the same age as mine...all my mommy friends have much older kids!

I'm in the south parts of the city.. @lawbee11: had a great suggestion to meet at the zoo and I would love to try for that ..

Yea!
@ T-mom The zoo sounds good to me. My 2 month old probably won't care, but I always love the zoo.
I live just north of the energy corridor near bear creek park.
Suggestions for days? Maybe February 9th or 23rd?

@stine_ciro: feb isn't great for me unless it's the first weekend, because I'll be out of town the last half of the month.. But I'd like to hear what other moms say. I wonder if Saturdays might be better too?

We're open to anytime during the week or otherwise!. As of right now we're good on day time activities....evening time is when she starts to get fussy & we generally start her bed time routine between 6 & 630 so anything before that time us good for us!

I would love to do another Houston meet up and I all for the zoo idea. I'm in Spring and work full time in The Woodlands, so I'm limited to meeting on the weekends. DD1 is 2 next week and I'm 30 weeks pregnant w/ DD2.

I'm in Midtown and would love to meet other moms! I'm at SAHM so either the week or weekend work for me! I have a 5 month old daughter!

DS is almost 3 and we are in NW Houston. We are limited to Saturdays but we are zoo members so we always like trips there.

@Mrs. Sunshine - early in the day works better for us as well. She starts getting fussy around 6 o'clock, so I try to be back at th house by 4:30 so we can wind down.
@htownmom -welcome to Hellobee!
We are really good with any day - I am a SAHM for a little while and the only regular thing on our schedule is baby yoga on Friday afternoons. It's at the Kendall library on Eldridge and Memorial at 2:30 if anyone wants to join us.

Maybe March 8th? It looks like Feb is a little busy for some people.

We will be out of town on March 8th, so I guess we can try for the next one
honeydew / 7488 posts
@stine_ciro: that works for me, but it might not work for @BabyBoecksMom: since she might be popping out a baby about then
If y'all want to meet in Feb please don't let me stop you...

I can try to make it in March if that's what works for everyone else
pomegranate / 3779 posts
Great. Let's plan in the zoo on March 8.
We could also do brunch/lunch in Feb - and then everyone can choose whichever works for them (or both.)
Anyone have any suggestions for a centralish location? @HTownMom: maybe something yummy in midtown/heights area? I always love Jus' Mac on Yale.

Brunch/Lunch in Feb sounds great! Some suggestions around Midtown/ Heights are : Canopy on Montrose for brunch/ Zelko Bistro on 11th for lunch/ Kata Robata on Kirby for sushi/Picnic in West University for lunch. Or anyone else have suggestions for places?

I'm down for brunch! My birthday is 2/1, so I can't do it that day. I also have plans on 2/23. But any other weekend day works! Lola in the Heights is really yummy, too.

Anyone have a preference for the 8th/9th or 15th/16th? I've heard really good things about both Lola and Zelkos.
hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts
I live a little too far just to go to lunch but we will definitely go to the zoo!

@stine_ciro: I'll be out of town the 8th and 9th. My vote is for the 15th.

I won't be able to make it for brunch, but I'll definitely try to make it to the zoo!

I don't think Zelko takes reservations but there is nice outdoor covered seating that could hold a larger group. Not sure about Lola.

I won't make it for brunch (C's birthday is the 15th) but will try to make the zoo on March 8.

@HTownMom: @Leialou: @lawbee11: @BabyBoecksMom: @MamaBehr: are we still on for brunch this Saturday?
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
Hey, I don't know how I missed this, but I'm in Houston too. I'd love to join!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@stine_ciro: I was wondering the same thing! I'm still in.

What time and where were we thinking? DD takes her nap at noon, so that really limits where I can go.... unless I leave her behind.
