My daughter has stained about 8 shirts with random foods and I can't get the stains out with my oxi stain stick. Does anyone have a magic solution? I would hate to lose these shirts! I wish she would just wear a bib.

I haven't tried the sun but that is a great idea. Thanks!
@aprk: do I just pour it straight on the stain? I don't think I have ever heard of that. Thanks!

@MrsHotDog: I've had luck using it on stains by just blotting it with a soaked q-tip. May take a few rounds of it. If you are precious about the fabric you might try a "hidden" spot somewhere, but I've never had the hydrogen peroxide ruin any of my clothing. Fingers crossed!

I usually mix some oxyclean (powder) with hot water and soak clothes with tough stains.

My magic potion is give to my grandma. It doesn't matter if I have dried the item before I saw the stain or not. She gets it out. Not sure how she does but she works magic!

The original Dryel had a stain removing bottle that worked really well on stains.

Do you use a stain stick before washing them? DH is messy and they work like a charm.

My mother is a master at removing stains. She even got a HUGE red wine stain out of my wedding gown. She uses the same technique no matter what the stain (this generally only works if the clothes have not already been through the dryer):
-Soak stained area in cold water for one hour
-Scrub with Sunlight laundry soap (it's a yellow bar of soap you get in the laundry aisle)
-If it's a really bad stain, let it soak for another couple hours with Sunlight on item
-Run through cold water wash cycle in washing machine
Works 99% of the time.

We use the totally toddler stain stick (bought it at BRU). We aren't in solids yet but that thing takes care of poop stains really well!!
