Haha I'm so amazed right now.
Lo stamped her white craft table months ago and I tried everything to get the ink out ( nothing worked).
Just tried the magic eraser and her table looks like new again!
How is this possible?
So magical indeed!!!

They are AMAZING!
ETA: If you have lenolium floors they also make a Magic Eraser mop that cleans floors better than anything else I have ever used.

Aren't they the best?!?! I love them for cleaning the stove top and the tub!

I also dig them -- I haven't seen the mop -- I get down on my hands and knees and scrub the floor with the Magic Eraser sponge, so I'll have to look for it!

@mrsmenow: Magic Eraser mop?!?! This might have been a life changing moment.....

@MrsBrewer: It is pretty life changing. I can only find it at Target though. I did see some Magic Eraser Swiffer Wetjets, but I haven't tried them yet!

We used it this weekend to clean up some crayon drawings that Charlie did on our walls... it was amazing!
It actually worked so well that I figured there's some carcinogens in there... is it kid-safe?

@mrsmenow: I normally scrub my kitchen floor on my hands and knees first with the regular magic eraser, and then I go over it with my regular mop.....soooo if there's a 2-in-1 thing.....wow...so much time saved!

@mrbee: I have no idea.. I only used it for a small area. Should probably go over it with vinegar water

Snopes says that it's safe!

It's a foam of some sort... I didn't really read this whole article yet though:

Does the Magic Eraser sort of sand away the surface? I used it once and was worried because it made tiny holes in the gloves I was using. But I have another box of them because I have more uses for them if they're not abrasive!

@spaniellove: It does seem to sand away:
<< To view the crucial properties of melamine foam, you need to go down to the microscopic level. This is because when melamine resin cures into foam, its microstructure becomes very hard -- almost as hard as glass -- causing it to perform on stains a lot like super-fine sandpaper. >>

I just used it for the first time this weekend and I was amazed! We got this random rust stain on our laminate kitchen countertop, and I tried everything-- including chemicals that must be carcinogenic-- and it wouldn't budge. 2 minutes with the Magic Eraser and it was totally gone. How can it be so great??
We have wood floors, so no need for the Magic Eraser mop I don't think.

@mrbee: Thank you for confirming this! So I won't use it on surfaces I wouldn't touch with sandpaper.
ETA: It was, however, the only thing that took out the scuff marks on a linoleum floor when the washer/dryer delivery guys took out the old w/d and thought Windex was a good lubricant.

I love it too! I was so skeptical, but then saw it on Amazon for like $5 and gave it a shot. I cannot believe how well it got marks off my flat paint... then spent the next 2 hours going around the house getting every mark off the walls and baseboards.....
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@spaniellove: I used it on our painted walls, but tried to be as gentle as possible. It stripped the stains without removing the paint!

Love, love love the Magic Eraser.
But take it from me...don't try to use it on your car to hide a scrape from your husband...it will mess up the clear coat.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@mrbee: It also cleans up dirty outlets (obviously keep moisture away from the outlet!)

Love them! The first time I used one, I was running around the house looking for things to clean. There's like a million things it can do that I never thought of too. I have a pin on pinterest somewhere...I'll try to dig it up.

love the magic eraser... I always have a pack or two at the ready. Every few months I'll go around with one and get all of the marks off of the walls. (how do they get there?!?!?)
I heard you can also cut a piece off and put it in your toilet tank, and you won't have toilet rings!
