Help a girl out. I'd love to hear about you're kickass single tube pregnancies or those from friends or family.
I need some optimism.

I lost one and part of an ovary as a teenager due to a large cyst. I've gotten pregnant naturally five times and have three babies.

My cousin in-law lost a tube when it turned out her first pregnancy was ectopic. She waited 3 months to start trying (but had also taken methotrexate before requiring the surgery, so this length of wait was required), and got her healthy BFP on her 4th cycle trying. Baby is due in May!

@knittylady: and the oldest of those three is 4, so big conception time gaps are not always a thing with one tube!

Not me, but a friend. I don't know all the details, but she had two successful pregnancies!

A friend of mine and she has a healthy little girl. She had trouble getting pregnant, but it ended up happening naturally.

I had an ectopic as well and am currently pregnant. We did ivf because of several factors one being my good tube was connected to a lazy ovary and I couldn't ovulate on that side. I waited way too long to go to an RE because I had hopes of conceiving naturally. Best of luck, hope your recovery is going as well as possible.

My mom had surgery when young and only had one tube. She got pregnant easily 3x with three healthy children, easy pregnancies + easy l&ds too! You got this

You all are the best. One moment I feel like this will just be a bump in the road and the next I'm sobbing. Probably also the fault of dropping hormones! But reading your stories helps me stabilize. Thank you.

@knittylady: Just following up now that I'm at my computer. My OB that did the surgery a long time ago said that even with 1 tube, as long as I was producing eggs off both ovaries than there was still a chance the good tube left could still cross over and get the egg from either ovary (hence being able to get pregnant every month). However I dont know the odds of how often this happens or how long it takes your body to "adjust" for this. Or maybe he was telling me this as a teenager to scare me.
It may be something to talk to your OB about in the future and to make sure you dont have a situation like @LibbyLou: where you are only producing an egg from your left when you only have a right tube.

@T.H.O.U.: My surgeon/OB said the same thing as yours - that the remaining tube can still grab from the ovary on the other side. I have a follow up tomorrow and plan to ask about that further...
