Lo has refused solid (purees) for two days straight. He had his shots Thursday and a fever Friday. The fever has been gone since Saturday am. At first I thought that's why he wasn't eating, but now I don't know. He is also drinking less from his bottles. About 1-2oz less each.
I keep checking for teeth, but I'm not seeing or feeling anything.
Anyone else experience something like this? What do you think is going on?

@Mrs. Polish: my first LO refused solids almost completely until a year. I think when kids get sick or get uncomfortable, they tend to revert to their previous diet.

My guy didn't really eat solids until 10months. I wouldn't worry. Solids really aren't necessary for a year. Who knows what's going on, just let him lead.

Our LO is 6 months and I've been noticing that he hasn't been nursing as long lately (he is still finishing his bottles at daycare though). I thought maybe it was a teething thing but who knows. We only just started offering solids recently and he isn't really all that into them. Some days he will only eat a spoonful or two.

@Mrs. Jacks: he had been eating solids like a champ though for the past three weeks. Not being interested is new. Just wait it out?

Give it some time. My niece went on a milk strike for a couple weeks. They peditrician said give her time. She came around.

We started at 6 months by my LO wasn't interested in regular solid meals until 10 months.

LO goes through spurts where he doesn't really eat his purees. At first it worried me, but I guess I've gotten used to it.

C does this when sick. Maybe Isaiah is getting a little cold or post-shots illness that is slashing his appetite. Hang in. When he is hungry again, you'll know.

P has done this for a few days after each vaccination and when she's sick as well. I tried to remind myself "food before one is just for fun" ... My son didn't eat any solids at all really til 11 months. He just wasn't that into it! Try not to worry!

Both of my boys are eating way less right now because they aren't feeling good. They also do this after shots for a couple days. That said, my littles are super distracted eaters for the last few weeks (especially Finn) and aren't eating anything well, so I may or may not be the one to consult on normal eating habits of 6-month olds!
