we have ergo sport with the infant insert and I like the ergo because it allows the baby to sit especially when she is older and heavier. I never liked the look of babies dangling in babybjorn carriers but I was given one as a gift a few weeks ago and I used it at the store and my baby loved it... I really wasnt expecting her to like it but she loved it

Anyone else floored by the cost of the Girasol! Otherwise it looks awesome.

I had a moby and REALLY wanted to wear my baby 24/7. When she was born, she ALWAYS stretched her legs out. It was almost impossible to get her in the moby because her knees didn't want to bend. She used to stretch out when she was in my belly too.

We started wearing her in the ergo when she got older. Still carry her around in the Ergo from time to time.

@Navy_Mommy: I was thinking about using the Ergo while walking my dog. Do you find the stroller easier?

@meredithNYC: We have one in the ergo and one in the stroller while walking the dog... We used to just do Ergo, no stroller.

@Mrs. Jacks: Okay, that's reassuring. Now I just need to start doing some practice runs with the baby in the Ergo minus the dog for now. One thing at a time and all that.

@meredithNYC: I have 2 dogs and I usually shower right after our walk so I like being able to leave him in the stroller once we get home to keep napping. Plus, I'm talking power walking so I don't want to sweat all over the carrier in the California heat!

I love my ERGO! We have the green performance. I also like the strap covers and now want some from etsy.

@Navy_Mommy: Ah, okay, that's fair enough! I just have a VERY stubborn English bulldog who I can't imagine will ever get the hang of obediently walking by the side of the stroller.

Does anyone know of modifications to the baby bjorn to make it safer? I only have that (a gift) and a pouch sling (also no good for a newborn) and I really need some hands free time. Any recommendations?

My LO still isn't born, so haven't worn him/her yet...But I did buy a baby K'tan for when he/she arrives. Have any of you tried that one? I read great reviews and liked its versatility and the fact that there isn't tying involved.

When my son was little I loved wearing him in my HAVA ring sling. Now that he is over 20 pounds I prefer to wear him in my Boba 3G. I waffled between the Beco Butterfly and the Boba and I like the foot/leg support the Boba has for toddlers. Both my husband and I use the Boba and we love it.

Used our Moby wrap with DD when she was tiny then moved to an Ergo with infant insert, now we mainly just use the Ergo. I've developed a small stash for use with our next: Moby, a ring sling I made, Maya Wrap, Hotsling pouch, French pouch sling (basically a pouch with ribbons at the shoulder to make it somewhat adjustable), and the Ergo. I am looking for a reasonably prices Mei Tei as well. I plan on doing a lot of baby wearing when #2 arrives since it will be easier to keep up with DD.

Okay, so I've been doing some research.

Ergo or Beco Butterfly 2? Which one did you like better?

I used the moby when DS was smaller. We used the baby bjorn after 4 weeks and then I bought an ergo because of the crotch dangling. We didn't like the ergo though because the straps would never stay on our shoulders (both me and DH!). My mom got me a Pognae and we absolutely love it so we sold the ergo.

@pastemoo: while the baby bjorn isn't ideal, it's still safe to use (or else you wouldn't see them everywhere!). We never used it for longer than a 1-1.5 hrs.. I would recommend a moby for a newborn and they're relatively inexpensive!
