Goat racing?! That sounds amazingly hilarious. I wonder if they put a patch of tasty grass at the end of the line >.<
We get to sand and re-stain our front door. Kill me now...

Hahaha. Love it.
We're getting over colds and DH will be watching college/pro football so not much I suppose!

Goat racing sounds awesome!
We've been busy the past two weekends so we're not planning anything this weekend. The only thing that is certain is that we're going to watch football.

We're going to drive up to the white mountains in NH for a day trip on Saturday to check out the leaves. Sunday DH is going to do work on his mother's house, and I will probably be stuck at home by myself.

@lovehoneybee: bahaha. I'm scared of goats (one ran over me when I was about 3. I'm scarred for life). so I'd not be down with that. lol.
Tonight we are having a date night-in (renting a movie and drinking some beer, lol) and tomorrow we are going to a local steak & grape festival on Saturday with my SIL and her kids. Should be fun!

@lovehoneybee: he wouldn't be talking about the falmouth goat races would he? I think we are relatively close to each other (Lancaster-ish area?) When I was little we lived on a bigger lot and my brother and I each had a goat (ridiculous, I know) Anyway, we took our goats to the Falmouth goat races one year. We loved it as kids... except my goat would never run!
Its hilarious to think of now! I didn't know they still had those.

@creativemomma15: Yep, that would be it! I'd never heard of it until last night!

@lovehoneybee: Haha! That's hilarious! I have no idea what to tell you to expect if you go, but it's one of my childhood memories! You will have to fill us in if DH convinces you to go

@lovehoneybee: haha that sounds pretty fantastic.
I have a wedding shower on Saturday, and our block party is on Sunday. I am hoping to finish our window seat cushions this weekend!

We're going to be getting the backyard ready for E's birthday party (which is next weekend) on Saturday and working on the baby's nursery.
On Sunday we're going to a wedding!

@creativemomma15: I'm hoping it will be a lot of ridiculous fun (if we end up going). I'll let you know how it goes...and then next year you can come with

@lovehoneybee: That's sounds hilarious! I am sure it will be fun!
@ShootingStar: Should be a great weekend for that. Are you driving on the Kancamagus Highway? I think we might go up north for a bit on Sunday if the weather is nice.
This weekend my sister is spending the weekend with us. We are getting furniture delivered on Saturday that was a housewarming present from DH's parents, so that will be exciting! I think we are going to go to a fair on Saturday night, and possibly do a little leaf peeping on Sunday

Goat racing sounds interesting.
My weekend plans involve keeping myself busy (which is never hard around here) but also convincing baby to grace us with her presence!

@lovehoneybee: In the same vein as goat racing, I read in the local paper that an Alpaca ranch about 30 minutes away is having an open-house this weekend. We might go, for lack of better things to do! I'm not really sure what one does at an Alpaca ranch open house, but it's better than being at home, I guess

@lovehoneybee: Goat racing sounds brilliant!!
@MediaNaranja: Oh, I love alpacas!
Tonight, I have a bottle of wine! That is all!! Tomorrow, DH is going to a rugby match with FIL and MIL has offered to watch DD for a couple of hours - I have NO idea what to do with myself though!! I wish I could go goat racing!!

On Sunday M and I are making the trek to visit my parents for 10 days! Should be interesting. It's only an hour and 45 mins by plane but I'm still nervous!

DH is at a stag tonight, tomorrow I'm going apple picking with my BFF and her LO, baking pies in the evening with said apples and my parents are coming for dinner on Sunday.

Tomorrow, we're walking to an endless summer festival for live music, food truck eats, and a seasonal beer garden.BIL flies in Sunday from out of state. He'll be meeting DD for the first time, so I imagine we will spend most of the day with my in-laws. We've been meaning to try out a local Episcopal church for weeks now, so maybe I can man up this weekend.

@creativemomma15: Ok, super ridiculous, but kind of fun! They had a goat fashion show and you could rent a goat for an hour for $5. And there was a playground area and a bouncy castle, plus food, and when we left they were setting up a stage. We left after the first heat because E was getting cranky and almost never does stroller naps (and didn't seem like he'd do one today). We'll likely go back next year...I think he'll definitely have more fun when he's a little bit older!
pomegranate / 3244 posts
@Cherrybee: I hope you enjoyed your free day Here are some alpacas for you! The one in the second pic is only 10 days old!

Today is my birthday (last year in my 20s!) and DH is busy with grad school research stuff, so my mom and I are going to a "Paint and Sip" event and then to the grand opening event of a bookstore we love. I'm also hoping to use a gift card to LOFT to buy myself a little present.
