D and I were going to go out of town for our anniversary, but we had an unexpected $500 car repair bill this week (Ugh....), so I'm not really sure what we're going to do now. We were tossing around packing up the car and going mountain climbing/camping in the region, but whatever we decide to do my ILs will have E

It's E and me all weekend, since DH will be working. We have a cute play area in the local museum. They have a water table feature with smocks for the kids to wear. I'll probably take him, because they are so dang cute!

It's Thanksgiving here! DHs family is on their way up tonight, then we all go into the woods to my aunt's cabin with about 30 of my relatives and spend all day in the good old outdoors...horseshoes, nature walks, and more food than I can handle.
I love Thanksgiving!

I'm hoping the nice weather holds true, if so we'll take LO apple picking. Sunday we're dropping my mom off at the airport (waaaahhhh) then my ILs are coming over to watch the game.

Apple picking Saturday! So excited. Also maybe a hike if there is time. Saturday is the first full day off together DH and I have had in ages it's going to feel like a vacation.

Tomorrow morning Dh needs to get his hair cut so LO and I will accompany him into town as I need to pick up some clothes I ordered and get LO's feet measured for her first shoes! Tomorrow afternoon we have a 1st birthday party to go to. Sunday Dh leaves for Germany and LO and I have no plans yet...maybe a chill out day with a trip to the local park.

@lovehoneybee: happy anniversary! If you go hiking or camping, just be aware that archery season for deer has started. (hunting isn't legal on Sundays.) if you hike on Saturday, you might want to pick up some blaze orange. Not that archery season is as dangerous as rifle season, but still...

I am baking some sort of apple dessert with the apples we picked recently because I have a TON and then we have double duty dinners... tomorrow with my side and Sunday with the ILs. Going to try and sneak out to a flea market tomorrow because I want to find an old mirror/frame to make a chalk board.

I took today off work for my birthday (which was good timing as LO decided that 4:30am was the right time to get up this morning, ugh!!!) and my parents and LO are going apple picking. Tonight they are taking LO overnight and DH and I are going to dinner.
Tomorrow I have spin class and I want/need to finish my Halloween DIY projects and get our house decorated!

THANKSGIVING! yey! we actually have a pretty low key one this year. normally we have to do two dinners because my parents live about 2 hours away but this year they're in town because they're taking care of my grandparents. so they're coming to the in laws for dinner with us tomorrow! i can't waitttt, i looooove thanksgiving dinner!!!
i also booked a prenatal massage for tomorrow. Monday we have off work and me and DH are gonna lie on the couch and watch tv guilt free, alllllllllllllllllllll day

I just wanted to chime in and say, WOW, I'm so jealous of all you canadians who have Thanksgiving this weekend!!! I love the timing so much more than American Thanksgiving since it's further from the winter holiday season.
My parents are here so we'll spend a lot of fun family time together, but they're leaving on Sunday and we have Monday off from work and school, so I'm looking for ideas of fun things to do in this GORGEOUS fall weather. We usually just end up at a field with a playground where the kids and dogs run free and I veg out on a blanket!

Liam has been talking about the pumpkin patch and since my husband is out of town and we are going to a harvest festival next weekend, I think we'll go to a smaller, local pumpkin patch this weekend. He is also getting a haircut.

I've got tennis matches both tonight and Sunday afternoon. And DH and I are going with friends to shoot sporting clays on Saturday morning.
