I resolve to start working out again. I basically quit working out last year.
And I want to cook more. My goal is consistently two times a week versus like zero now. (I doable food for LO...but basic.)

To build up a savings, ours is practically $0. That's a huge priority for us.
Read more! I was so busy this past year with a newborn and toddler it was almost impossible.
Grocery shop less/build a food stockpile. This will happen in February, starting out slow.
Hmm I'll have to think of a few more!

Mine are:
1) Lose weight (last year I succeeded - I lost 4lb in total!!)
2) Try to be less over-dramatic - reframe negatives into positives
3) Spend more time with my BFF
4) Get back on top of our finances
5) Work on relationship with DH

Mine aren't too serious, mostly the same things I 'resolve' to do every year... haha
1) Organize the house
2) Decorate the house
3) Lose weight
4) Get pregnant
5) Get more on board with Eat to Live

1) Bring lunch to work most days (just bought a new bento box to make it fun!)
2) Clear out the clutter in the house, clearing one section a week (section = top of a dresser, one drawer, a bag of stuff, etc. - not a whole room or anything). Keeping the goal small and sustainable!

1) Keep better track of finances (YNAB ); stop splurging, buying extras we don't need, eating out, etc.
2) Declutter; also part of the not buying what we don't need at the time because we'll "need it eventually"; might take one of those 28-40 day challenges where you fill a bag every day
3) Finish my class with a GREAT grade We'll see how this goes.
4) Don't let chores pile up; if I don't try to tackle a little bit every day or every other day, things like laundry get overwhelming
5) Spend more time with family and friends; nothing complicated about this one
6) Be on time more! Even if that means getting my lazy butt out of bed at 6 every morning to get lunches done, we've got to get into a quicker, better routine. Maybe decluttering will help with that
I know there's more but here's a start!

Tackle one house project each month. Things like painting a room, replacing baseboard, organizing, etc.
Create and stick to a budget. We need to continue to pay off student loans (me), get more serious about saving (DH), and replace my car ($$).
Establish a regular meditation practice. I need some positive me time that isn't binge-watching TV.
Walking the dog every. Single. Night. We're lazy, she's lazy, and we haven't been very good about this lately.

1) Take a picture every day.
2) Go easy on myself for the first few months of the year as we ease into life with 2 babies.
3) Lose my baby weight by the end of 2015 (baby due end of Jan - hoping this is realistic and gradual and not something I'm scrambling on Q4)
4) Take a body shower every day (is it gross that I need to resolve this?! Motherhood is crazy)
5) Patience. Patience. Patience.

I was just thinking about these last night while trying, and failing, to fall asleep! Some of my resolutions are more “to-do” than real resolutions, but it helps me to keep them all in one list. Also, I’ve found I’m more likely to get the harder/bigger things checked off my list when I include easy/little things I can check-off quickly so I feel like I’m actually getting somewhere:
Lose 6 more pounds and *maintain* that weight
Go to gym 2x a week, make up any days/week where I miss this goal!
Read 3 novels
Go to eye doctor, get new glasses
Volunteer 5 times as guest chef at Ronald McDonald House
Volunteer for 15+ rescue dog runs
Donate A LOT of clothes to charity
Donate old books to county jail program
Travel more - take one vacation on a train! Go to Napa.
Potty train LO
Make final decision on one-and-done or not
Pay off R’s student loans in full
Save down payment for new investment property purchase

1. Take a portrait of my kid(s) once a week for an entire year.
2. Get back on the FitBit train once this second kid is 6 weeks old. (Gotta have a grace period!) No specific goals (in an effort to be kind to my post-partum, two under two self) but at least get in the daily habit of logging my steps and food.
3. Study like crazy for this huge test at the end of February. Take a break, and study like crazy for a huge test in October.

1. Lose 40 lbs. Hoping delivery and breastfeeding in January takes care of a lot of this!
2. Go easy on myself and my family as we adjust to life with two kiddos. Practice more patience.
3. More walks. For our dogs, for our health, for our happiness.
4. Save save save. We made a big move to a place we don't like for a higher income, and I'd like to take advantage of that by stashing as much money away as possible for a few years and then moving back to our hometown and buying our dream house.
5. Meal planning, especially healthier choices. Try out probably 80/20 paleo - especially if LO#2 has a dairy allergy, so I can continue BFing.
coconut / 8079 posts
