Do you have anything lined up this year?
So far this year we've gone to Punta Cana. I also have plans to visit Vegas, and in July, we're off to San Francisco! Lots going on.
You?

Going to San Antonio to visit my BIL & SIL! And possibly somewhere for my brothers wedding later this year, but that's TBD.

Punta Cana already?? Lucky! We want to take LO to Mexico in early Decemeber (Riviera Maya). DH and I also want to plan a long weekend away in September or October...not sure where we'll go yet, though.

2 out of state weddings (maybe 3, not sure where the last one will be), family beach vacation in July, tentative plans for a trip to Belgium sometime probably in the fall and hopefully a trip to see a friend in Canada soon.

We’ve already been out in CA this year. March we’re going to Boston for a weekend to take LO to the aquarium. April down to Newport, RI. May to Atlanta and Philadelphia. August down to Washington, DC and we’re about to book a Disney Bahamas cruise for just before next Christmas.

Nada. If we feel like LO gets to a good stage for it before the end of the year (she'll be 15/16mths) then we'll go somewhere.

No trips plan for this year. FIL is already planning a huge family cruise. I am not a fan. My kids have too many allergies/sensitives, and I can't lug around a week's worth of food on board.

Great travel locations! I'm getting inspired reading everyone's plans.
We're going to Cabo on Saturday. Crossing my fingers for a smooth airport/flight experience with my 10week old daughter!

Budapest at the end of March. We are supposed to go back to the US for a wedding in July, but the date is still tbd. France in late summer and probably somewhere else (hopefully Asia at the end of this year or beginning of next.
@snowjewelz: if we make it to the US this year, we will also be in Portland/Seattle in July!
@lovehoneybee: Belgium is such a fun place to visit!

@lamariniere: Oooh I love Budapest!
We're going to Lisbon in March and London and Istanbul in July. If anyone has been to Lisbon, I'd love some recommendations!

@lamariniere: you must! these cities have gotten so popular in recent years, my friend just moved to Portland & DH has a conference in Seattle. I'm a huge foodie and I hear the food scene is great there!!

nope
but we're probably moving so that involves travel...
@yin: We recently went on a trip and people were SO accommodating of our food issues. Allergy awareness has gotten really high and I had no problems ordering off-menu.

DH just found out he qualified for the National Champion conference trip through our work this year which is a week in Monte Carlo at the end of April. We're still unsure weather or not I'll (and our new bebe) will be going along, but it's looking like a no right now.
We're also planning a 2 week road trip to the east coast in the summer.

@Baby Boy Mom: That's good to know. Most restaurants have a very limited menu for DS1 who is allergic to dairy, eggs, and peanuts. DS2 had MSPI and possibly other sensitivities. It's hard for me to trust eating outside of the house. Soy is in everything.

@Beehive: we went to Lisbon almost 2 years ago with DS. You must go to Sintra while in Lisbon, it's a fantastic day trip.
@snowjewelz: one of my childhood friends lives in Portland, so I'm excited for her to show us around.

I'm in Boston now for my dissertation research, and we have a wedding in CA wine country in September that I'm really excited about! We've been talking about doing some kind of family vacation this summer with my parents and hopefully my brother's family, probably to Cape Cod or somewhere similar where we can rent a house and veg on the beach with our babies (my nieces will be 1 and 5, and our baby will be a few months old).

@Beehive: also, look up the Noobai cafe in lisbon. It has a great view and small children's play area!

@lamariniere: That's what I've heard! D's aunt works there like half the year, and she literally jumped up and down in excitement when E and I got our passports (finally!)

@lamariniere: Thanks for the recommendations! That cafe looks so nice (and delicious), and we'll check out Sintra... a friend of ours went to Cascais from Lisbon, but Sintra looks like it has more to "do" (like castles and things) whereas Cascais looks more like a beach town, so I'm inclined to go to Sintra.
I don't know if you've been to Budapest before, but you should go to Ruszwurm (near Buda Castle) - amazing bakery, and strangely not touristy given its location. DH got their signature prune or plum cake or something like that, and it was ridiculously good.

We are going to London three times this year! Also Wales and Spain are in the cards.

We've got lots of visits to family out of state planned. We have a family reunion this summer, but they've changed the location and we're less pumped about it, so I'm torn between going and taking a separate family vacation with the time/money.

Chicago, Vegas, NYC, I want to go to Napa for our anniv.
And we'll probably do Hilton Head for our family vaca

we're going to vegas in a couple weeks, we'll do some long wk end trips later in the year, but that's our only big trip

@Beehive: we went to Budapest last year, but this will be a very different trip since we will have a 4-month-old. Thanks for the bakery recommendation, it looks amazing! One thing that I was very surprised about in Budapest was the food, we ate SO well (and relatively cheaply) the whole time!

@yin: I know! I seriously can't deal with the soy in everything! And it's so unnecessary! I guess it will depend on how sensitive they are to cross-contamination...that doesn't seem to be an issue for us (for now) so I just ask a lot of questions. I've already made peace with being "that crazy mom" but I know what you mean, it has taken a lot of the fun out of eating out.
