We went to one today that was organized by the local fire department. LO was scared!! They yell 1-2-3-GO and then it is every man for himself. Parents aren't allowed in the field (good thing) so the LO was too freaked out to go in by herself. Oh well, I managed to snag her one egg at the very end so Mommy saved the day. She was SO happy with her one itty bitty chocolate egg and held onto it for most of the day until I finally showed her that you could EAT it. And then the egg was suddenly gone in about 5 seconds. HAHA. It was fun!

Awww.. go mommy! I think DH's aunt is prepping baskets and eggs for a little mini egg hunt. HAHA. It'll be fun.

DD's are going egg hunting tomorrow with cousins! Maybe the crawling babies will have an indoor hunt!

DH's Aunt owns a daycare & she invited us to her annual Easter egg hunt last weekend. DD is 11 months, so she didn't really get it but she picked up about 4 eggs & still loves playing with them!! I got some cute pictures too
I can't wait unti next year because she will be almost 2!

My mom used to plan fairly elaborate egg hunts for me when I was a kid! Mini chocolate eggs and also those hollow plastic eggs which she filled with hand-written "certificates" for things like ice cream bars, or to pick out a new book at the neighborhood bookstore. I hope I'll be fun enough to do that for my kids one day!

We do one every year for my little brother and cousins. It's usually really fun however this year being pregnant I am dreading it knowing that I'll probably be on my feet the whole day cooking Easter dinner for 14 kids and 30 adults,, preparing baskets and eggs. Next year will be fun since we'll have a LO but this year i am just not feeling it. Ugh.
