We are, and it sucks. A lot. I hate it and swore we never would. But she is so, so tired and needs desperately to sleep. We're 36 minutes in, and I'm about to do another check. I hate this.
Anyone else?

I'm sorry, it's not easy, I know! And I bet it's even harder when she can say mama and call for you. We've had to do CIO for bedtime after illness or traveling, but it's always been pretty quick. They still wake up in the night, though, and I just can't make them CIO then. It's too hard for me. I hope the rest of tonight goes well! Just remember that sleep is good for her, and this short term trouble is worth long term good sleep for her. And also, remember that there is always wine for mama.

Not here, but I feel you. We had to do CIO with DS and it ducked and the first night it took forever and I hated it and it was awful. But it worked and there were no I'll effects. That was two years ago and now he loves going to bed!

@twodoghouse: @MrsSRS: thank you!! She's out, 52 minutes and two checks later. I'm exhausted, but then again, so was she. And now I'm eating more pie.

@LovelyPlum: was gonna reply to you on my thread, but just saw this one. Sorry you're in the same boat too! We CIO'd for nap and bedtime tonight (day 4 of CIO). It's getting better.....but still suckssssss. Their lungs are crazy loud at this age!

We've been CIO the past few nights. He falls asleep on his own okay, but still wakes 3x (at 8 months). It's so hard to hear him crying in the middle of the night but it's really for the best for all of us. I am literally going crazy with lack of sleep.

@BabyTsMom: SO loud. How's it going tonight??
@BeachMama: oh man, that MOTN stuff is rough, rough, rough. We ended up not doing it then last night. It's hard in our situation, too, because we're in a one bedroom apartment. So LO can literally see me laying in my bed while she throws a fit in hers. I hope it helps you all. Chronic sleep deprivation is no joke.
Tonight's update: we only needed 23 minutes and one check before she's passed out in her crib. It was still really hard, but it's getting better!!

@LovelyPlum: 23 minutes is not bad! Looks like things are improving!
He cried 2x and stopped. (this is day 5). Yay! BUT he's still screaming through bath, pjs, the whole routine. It still sucks. I'm hoping it's a phase.
