@Mrs.VW: We must be somewhat close! I'm in East Central Kansas and we have about 9" of snow where we live, I got out of work today and DH got out of school. I hope you got a day off!!!

@babyjmama: We are! But we don't have that much *yet* and ours just started a couple hours ago. So I'm at work
But I'm leaving here in less than an hour. I'm not running the risk of having to drive on bad roads!

Ha ha, I drove through "snow" for the first time yesterday. I got this in an email today that's pretty accurate as to how everyone reacted:

I wish it was snow. We are forecast to get "freezing rain" which is pretty much THE WORST kind of weather ever. A really cool trip I was supposed to take tomorrow got cancelled because of it, boo!

@Mrs.VW: I hope you made it home okay! Our snow started overnight and it's been snowing off and on all day. Looks like it's let up a little bit but I think we have about 13-14" right now but also the wind has been terrible with lots of drifts. I'm worried they won't close my office tomorrow. Luckily DH doesn't have school and can stay home with J though, so he doesn't have to be out on the roads.

@babyjmama: I did - thanks!! And I didn't have to come in today until noon! Good thing they are getting it cleaned up because it sounds like round #2 is coming on Sunday/Monday!

@Mrs.VW: I just heard we're supposed to get another FOOT of snow! Our postal service is planning on delivering mail tomorrow because Monday they most likely won't be able to. WOAH!

@Emsmems: Ours won't start again until tomorrow night with sleet/freezing rain but the snow will start early Monday morning. I'm really hoping our office respects the fact that roads suck! I don't want to have to take J out in the weather if it's not necessary!

@babyjmama I hope so for you too! If the postal service is planning for it, hopefully other companies will take notice and follow suit with closures as well! Good luck and stay safe!
